Honestly, I didn?t realise I was signing up for a biology lesson when I ordered a jerk chicken meal. £12 later and what did I get? Flesh. Not food ? flesh. The chicken was so raw I half expected it to cluck. It had been sitting in a hot container for over an hour, and still looked like it needed CPR.
I declined the offer to reheat the rice (because shockingly, I like to avoid food poisoning where possible), and good thing too ? clearly food safety isn?t a top priority. I even gave it a go in the microwave myself and guess what? Still raw. Still pink. Still not OK.
Tried to call the shop at least 9 or 10 times to sort it calmly ? no answer. Not once. So here I am, sharing my experience with the internet instead.
To serve someone raw chicken and then be completely unreachable? That?s not just poor service ? it?s a public health hazard with a side of cowardice. I?ve supported this place for years. Sadly, this is where it ends. Do better, vile

Authentic Caribbean Food That Hits Every Time!
Jerkiz is hands down the best Caribbean takeaway in South London. I?ve ordered from here multiple times and the quality is always top-tier. The jerk chicken is full of flavour, with that perfect balance of spice and smokiness. Their oxtail and curry goat are cooked to perfection ? tender, rich, and comforting. The rice and peas? Spot on every time.
What I really love is the consistency and the care they clearly put into their food. It tastes homemade, like it was cooked with love. The staff are friendly, and the service is always quick and reliable.
If you're thinking about ordering ? do it. You won?t regret it. This is real Jamaican food done right. Highly recommend!

I visited Jerkiz for the first time last week and I have to say, I was genuinely impressed. From the moment I walked in, the staff were friendly and welcoming, which really set the tone for the rest of my visit.
I ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas, along with a side of plantain, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was perfectly cooked, really juicy with just the right amount of spice and smokiness. You could tell the marinade had been given time to do its work. The rice and peas were full of flavour, and the plantain was beautifully caramelised, which balanced out the heat from the chicken.
The atmosphere inside was relaxed and lively, and there was a real sense of community, with people coming in for takeaways, It?s clear they have quite a few regulars, which says a lot.
All in all, Jerkiz is now one of my top spots for proper Caribbean food in South East London. Great food, generous portions, and fair prices, I?ll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone craving authentic jerk chicken.

I ordered a large meal today 16.50 and receive a small meal. A staff in the restaurant told me they have changed their portion sizes ordered by the boss. Really? I said I used to be a avid customer personally and for my company and team and would reconsider our choices. I am not happy with the outcome. She said that's ok. Customer services down the drain. Boss of jerkiz your business will lose if you continue to defend your customer care and service.

Love this place, the akee and saltfish is the best I've tried. Good prices, friendly staff. Super popular around lunchtime so make sure you get in early!

I stopped by here on the way home and couldn?t have been more happy with my decision. Delicious food, lots of it, and super affordable. If in Nunhead, you?d be mad not to try it ? I had the steak!

So I ordered curry goat and hard food last night via just eat. Waited and waited. The just eat app said t had been delivered but it never had. Tried to call the restaurant several times but no one picked up and the voice message was their new year opening hours. When I checked again the delivery address was 100 Evelina Road, which is their own address!!! Not sure if this was a scam but was very disappointed and expect a full refund

Depending on who is working and what time you go will determine the service and the quality of your food which is ridiculous?
I?ve had multiple issues with this place but still give them chances and go back.
It could be items missing, quality of your food or just getting something you didn?t order instead.
Today I ordered a Jerk Pork and white rice?walkers all the way home to open it and find jerk chicken?called the restaurant and as always they NEVER answer their phone?and the voicemail is giving information on new years opening hours?IT?S MARCH ?

Absolutely one of the best Caribbean food delivery services around. The way they allow you to add a generous portion of another main for just £2 is genius. I usually have the jerk pork with a spoonful of curry goat. It?s delicious. The food is always well packed, hot, and flavoursome.

Red pea soup with festival and patty on a Saturday afternoon is me. I?ve tended to have nice interactions with the staff and have always enjoyed the variety of food that I?ve had from there.

I order, fish on its own today 19 Dec. The fish is not editable becasuse it is very hard and I?m not able to cut into it. The plantin is hard and the Mac and cheese is too salty. I ordered through Deliveroo and they said I cannot be compensated.
