Tried to exchange some faulty headphones. They said it was my fault that it wasn't and they wont exchange it. There was as a very rude member of staff in there. Will not be going in there again and after taking legal advice will be speaking to trading standards about this appalling customer service

I went to cex in Peckham yesterday to sell a item the time was 5.30pm they close at 7 pm the shop was messy they had two staff working at the time one of the staff was serving a customer in which it was just the two of us in the shop it was empty they told me that the testing centre closes at 5pm I felt like it was just laziness because the other staff member was fiddling with dvd?s and games not even acknowledging my presence as a customer in the shop I left feeling very unhappy because I felt like they could have gone the extra mile to test the item as customers you want to feel valued I could understand if the shop was busy but it was so empty at the time I just couldn?t believe it I went to the cex in Walworth road got there at around 6:30pm they tested my item with no problems I asked what time dose the test centre closes. He?s responded with we don?t really have cut off we test this now because we still got half hour before closing and that?s enough time so basically my feeling was right Peckham cex is just the worst bad customer service the shop is always a mess everything always mixed up staff unprofessional one of the agents in Peckham was just fiddling to look busy they still had two hours before closing he was just trying to look busy so they didn?t have to test items plus they gave me the cash option of 50 pounds when Walworth road cex gave me 62 so even the prices are low in Peckham cex because they didn?t have good judgment on the electric item they try to give out some low low prices

I dropped off headphones with charger cable and plug on 17/03/2025 and opted for bank transfer. After I dropped it off, I was told I would hear back within a day or two. After 5 days of waiting and hearing nothing, I finally emailed CEX asking what the issue was only for them to say that the item failed inspection because it wouldn?t pair with devices properly and I had to go get it back. Fair enough, I went to get it back 29/03/2025 - was in line for 10-15 minutes and when I spoke to a staff member about getting my items back, they had lost the charger and charger cable entirely and had pretty much given up on trying to find it when the ones they kept bringing me were incorrect. I have my headphones back and tested them and they?re working perfectly fine? Just a huge waste of time, I will be selling them elsewhere.
ALSO, side note - the guy doing the tests at the store when I came back to get my headphones was very rude to his co worker. I understand that work is stressful and annoying but it is a problem when a customer can fully notice the hostile energy of a staff member.

This Peckham store is waste of time. Horrible. I went on Friday to trade my iPad for voucher. I was told it will no be done to day the test come back tomorrow at 15:00 Which was Saturday. When I go there again I was told you will receive email voucher tomorrow for the latest which also was Sunday the 16/03/25. Today I?m going there for one reason pick up my items no more wasting my time. I?m bus driver and know how to value time.

Incredibly rude staff. Instead of serving customers, their to busy laughing and jokes with each other. Even as i'm trying to pay , she walks off to make some jokes with her colleague.

Cannot fault the Peckham staff and store. I was travelling to London and they ensured the item was in stock and ready for me to collect. 5 out 5 for customer service. Thanks so much guys

Went there BOUGHT a DVD but girl behind counter looked liked she had a bad nights sleep or didn't wanna work there...she didn't smile once maybe the manager should have a chat with her to be polite to the customers n smile more

Have just read through the reviews and I am shocked to read some of the comments/feedback? Just because you don?t get what you want = does not mean that you can then blame it on the staff & write reviews like that!!! I?ve been a regular customer here for years now and I have always had a good positive experience from the staff and the store as a whole hence why I keep on coming back. Times have changed as we have to not only acknowledge but also learn to accept (?Acceptance is Key?)! For example, there are more products, more testing procedures and more people using this service so don?t expect things to be done at lightning fast speed! Also, if your item has any fault (bad battery, cracked, screen damage, etc.) then don?t try to sell it to them and then write bad reviews when they won?t buy it and you don?t get what you want!!! Okay, so if you want to get Well Tested Products covered by a 5 Year Warranty for an Excellent Price then you just have to be fair and wait (?Patience is a Virtue?)!
