Indian dark skinned lady with glasses- Unacceptable behaviour from a staff member working at both Harrow Lidl and WHSmith. I?m shocked that someone so consistently rude and unprofessional is allowed to work customer-facing roles in two different stores. At WHSmith, she?s just as unpleasant throwing dirty looks at customers, acting like we?re a burden, and clearly doesn?t want to be there. There?s zero respect or basic manners. It?s uncomfortable just walking in when she?s on shift. Management seriously needs to address her attitude it's driving people away. Customer service is clearly not for her she even shouts and barks at customers SORT HER OUT.

Hello Mr. Cowling & Mr. Izzard,
Visited today with someone dear to me. She was asked to pay up or leave while flicking through magazines.
Some options if I may suggest to prevent such outrageous behaviour by clients -
Manhattan style locks where every item over a certain amount is locked and you call an attendent who looks you over and see if you are worthy of goods! I went to New York last year after a 10 year absence and this was the shocking state of retail in Manhattan.
Put each magazine in double cling film, this is more Bombay style from India.
The WhSmith ASBO, I am sure you have state of the art Chinese facial recognition, and the alarm goes off when a ASBO'd customer dare walk into the place. And the shutters come down, and the magazine task force jumps out in their A-Team outfits.
Burly bouncer in the Magazine section with a stop watch who turfs you out if you spend more than x minutes, oh wait, they just did that!
OR, a bit of staff training. This is if WhSmith wishes to stay in retail. Just walk into a WaterStones and you can see the difference.
Can you do a DOGE?

Please learn to hire kind staff. The staff is So so very rude. I wanted to buy pokemon cards and i asked them to show them to me the lady says they are all here want more do you want to see? Then I just bought two packs and i wanted to buy more so I was taking a picture. So the lady yells at me and okay it was my fault I should have asked before taking a picture so I apologise but that lady yells at me even more creating a scene and embarrassing me. I apologized to her twice yet she was yelling at me. Will never set foot in this store ever again.

Understaffed and don't know what they doing. Wasted 45 mins of my time and staff calling managers without being able to solve my issue. Website is not clear either. Won't be buying from whsmith again!

WHSmith store at st.Ann's harrow station. Staff are very friendly and excellent knowledgeable their products and help are support by Jaya and other team. very positive and helpful.

I found two female staff members (one regular and the other a supervisor/manager) to be extremely patronizing and disrespectful. I accidentally left my bank card inside the store next to a book I was considering purchasing. I realized my mistake late while trying to buy items in another store. Upon returning, I saw that they had just closed their door, so I wrote a message on my phone and knocked to get their attention. Despite being only 5 meters away, they continued to signal that they were closed and ignored my plea, even laughing. Now, I have to take a couple of hours off work tomorrow morning just to retrieve something that could have taken 5 seconds

I had excellent customer service over the weekend from Gina and Harry. They were really kind and assisted me in finding exactly what I was looking for. I could not be happier with their friendly attitude and willingness to assist!

I went in today for a guide book for the canary Islands the staff there were really unhelpful. They asked me to go to the till which I did and asked them there they did not want to help so I left the folders that I was about to buy. I saw a man who asked for help at the self-service till he had to go back to pay at the till as he was he must of been in his in his early 80's.

There is a horrid woman who works at the post office section who does nothing but yell at people. Witnessed her yelling at a poor woman who needed some help sending a letter through the self service machines and I almost went to intervene and help her myself but thankfully she managed to do it. If your going to this location avoid the post office if you can and send things through the post elsewhere it is much better than having to deal with the poor customer service of this place. (I can tell you that she was not hired on account of her customer service skills)

Great service on a Good Friday. The manager and Sheila are lovely, kind, jolly, helpful and professional people. A real credit to WH Smiths. Wonderful!
