The food was very nice good healthy portions however my rating isn?t a 5 because i ended up waiting nearly an hour for food and when I did try and ask the lady was very rude and argumentative.The one man there was very understanding and apologised for this.As someone who works in a restaurant it is important to look after customers and communicate any delays.

Truly awful! Stay away and save your blood pressure from soaring.
The food is atrocious and fit for the bin. The food is masked by the sauce.
The staff are useless. My 12 year old daughter nearly scolded herself when the bag broke. Waitress just stood and watched.
When I called to make a reservation I informed them that I was gluten and dairy free. I was reassured they could cater, only to find out the all I could eat were the starter prawns and chips!
We were 10 mins late, the waitress gave our table away.
We explained to the manager we had travelled 1 hour and 45 mins, he was a gentleman and accommodated us.
The only good asset this restaurant has is the manager on duty this evening. Thank you for your support and kindness.
To the owner and rest of the staff, retired before you kill someone!

A Great Seafood Feast, we had lobsters, snow crab & prawns.
The whole shabang sauce was amazing.
Cajun fries were delicious.
Brilliant staff, quick service.
Messy eating but definitely worth it.
Definitely visit again.
Highly recommend The Fat Crab.

Nice tasting prawns and chips. More pricey than similar restaurants as you have to add in fries, sweetcorn, potato, sauces as an extra on top of your seafood. They could really do with plates/bowls in this place to avoid the spill and spray from the seafood bag when sharing. The only washing up they seem to have to do is of wine glasses, everything else is thrown away. Don't wear nice clothes or white when coming, the aprons only cover the chest

Excellent experience. Food was hot, fresh and plentiful. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We booked for 4pm and it was nice and quiet. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves seafood. If you want fresh oysters you need to book ahead. Great for a couples date night or family celebration. We will definitely be going back.

Good food, calamari is not so great, could be better prepared. And seafood could be a little fresher. I do hope this improves as the place gets more busier

This type of establishment is such a glorious find. A restaurant with only seafood on the menu - a rare find outside of central London.
The concept is simple and works beautifully. Choose a seafood, then the type of marinade/seasoning, then how spicy you would like your dish. As it's all cooked in a bag, the flavours are contained and intense.
My OO, who is a big fan of seafood, could happily eat here day after day.
However, for those who aren't so keen on seafood, the chips are lovely!
Love the food, dive right in with your hands, and be prepared to get messy.

My go to place for tasty prawns. Overall the food is excellent and tastes great with a few exceptions. The prawns and not de-veined which is very unappetising and the sweetcorn is very mushy like it?s been cooked and left to one side to reheat.
