I have visited this Costa coffee for the first time and experienced ableism.
First of all the place is clean, music is not loud, the coffee was good. But technically the place is not disabled friendly for various reasons.
First of all if you visit it with a wheelchair on your own you won't be able to pass/push the front door as it is very heavy and they cannot see you from the bar. I did not see a doorbell to ring for assistance either.
Secondly the staff is rude and ableist.
I have issues with my hearing (I can hear about 30% less than others on my left ear) and I couldn't understand the question regarding my whipped cream as the barista was standing far away and I faced with my left side a bit - was looking around. And I asked 3 times to repeat the question and she got frustrated and grumpy with me and I felt awful. Since I've paid already I didn't want to leave the place but I already have high anxiety due to my walking aid so anxiously tried to shift the conversation to a friendlier manner and say something nice about the Cafe itself. She did not reply, she just looked really angry and annoyed at me, so went to the table and drank my coffee. Multiple people arrived, they received smiles, greetings and nice service. I did not.
Upon leaving I said thank you, have a good day, bye and they both acted like I don't exist.
If you ever wonder why disabled people often don't want to leave the house, or why we have high anxiety - now you know.
This whole experience made me feel worthless and even tho in the shop I went afterwards where the employees know me and always nice to me - it left a mark on me and my whole day has been ruined.
I am a person too. I understand it can be frustrating if someone doesn't understand you but it comes with the job. You work with people. Patience is key. It's the most important part of customer service.
I've been on the other side - I used to serve and manage people. I do know the impact on others. How could they not?
I won't visit this place ever again and from now on I stop even placing orders through Uber Eats.

I?m regular customer of this costa branch, when you order cappuccino or latte or flat white, its taste the same. Taste only milk very less coffee flavour .The all new barista?s need to learn more about the product how to prepare it. The manager is friendly she does make nice coffee. Please make sure all the coffee should taste as its described. Hope this will make change in future.

Nice place to visit.... friendly staff , iam missing so much this branch. Even few months ago I used to visited this branch regularly when I had a job in this area barristas behaviour behaviour was so nice... Nice staff , hygiene environment, highly recommended for local people living there ,visit costa coffeee , enjoy tea, attend meetings , during break enjoy tea lathi , coffee and English tea whole menu is superb

Last few times went for my morning costa, just to be disappointed as two asian ladies is careless to even understand my order. Really feel annoyed . Ruins my morning of unprofessional staff working at costa. Previous staff was better.
