“Standard new Travelodge design layout, no issues. Good location with the pub, Starbucks and Lidl all within a very short walk. Didn’t sleep well, quite of a lot disturbance overnight (doors slamming, people walking up and down the corridor, voices etc). Difficult to work out what was going on but something wasn’t right. This is where Travelodge could really learn a thing or two from Premier Inn and soundproofing. In the morning there were a large number of police officers who had congregated in the entrance foyer and several police vehicles in the car park. They were unable to give the reason for their presence however I can’t help but suspect it was linked to the disturbance overnight. Either someone had died or some form of criminal activity. It’s rather put me off returning.”
