“Waitrose in Balham has a certain atmosphere, perhaps an unstated dress code. There are some nice products, cheeses, bread and morning goods and others. The members of staff who have thrown off the mystique are the nicest, smiling and sharing the time of day in a natural manner. There is, however, a certain standoffish air from some shoppers (and - very few - staff members) that marks this Waitrose as indelibly Balham.”
“I visited the store as needed fuel and few bits. To my surprise they had what I wanted. Clean and bright store the colleagues are all ways laughing and communicating with customers. It’s nice to see a happy work place some other stores are like robots. Great services all the time”

“I have used this coop occasionally for years now. Mostly the staff are very pleasant as is the current duty manager. Some of the pricing is a bit wayward but you can find healthy food at a reasonable price if you persevere. The fuel price at the moment is competitive but it isn't always. The air machine for tyre is out of order.”

“It's Sainsbury's, but it's my local. 90% of the time I get everything I need and appreciate the wine / whiskey buyer for the store, always a good selection and quality. Recently had a few ups and downs in terms of stock and availability of produce, but generally it's a well looked after store.”
