“Great location by the river and next to the pub. Spacious campsite with basic amenities. Special thanks to the waiter for his thoughtful service for our 20+ people dinner.”

“Lovely hotel and breakfast was fantastic. There is no guest directory in the room and the App is useless. It doesn't even give you check out or breakfast times. They don't offer room service which is disappointing. Overall the room was well presented with a few annoyances such as the incorrect sized toilet seat being fitted and only one plug socket to service both the kettle and the coffee machine.”

“I stayed here with my sister for the weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Lovely twin room, we stayed in room 9 which is in the old building above the kitchen, which wasn't noisy. A fan and fire were suppled, which were not needed. The beds were super comfy with very nice bedding.
The bathroom is old but to be expected of a very old building, lots of hot water! The manageress Molly told us the bathrooms are to be refurbished when possible.
Great food, breakfasts really nice with two really lovely waitresses who could not do enough for you.
Sunday lunch was to die for, three meats and all the trimmings and again service wonderful.

Rooms: There are two low level accommodation buildings attached to the hotel which look nice, the online photos do not do this Hotel justice. There was scaffolding at the front of the Hotel when we stayed and I believe they are painting so no noise.

Nearby activities: The Bell is over the road from Tewksbury Abbey, which is well worth a visit. Check when open to the public as tours are available.
The market is open on Saturday mornings, its at the other end of town and worth a look.
Tewksbury has lots of shops, especially charity shops.
There are lovely walks by the river and a good choice of Historic hotels to stop at.

Walkability: The Bell is an old building with little steps in doorways but you can see them. If staying in the main building there are a few stairs to your room.

Noteworthy details: The staff in this hotel are so lovely and a credit to Molly who runs it. Nothing is too much trouble, you just have to ask.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat!”
