“We booked a winter dinner bed and breakfast package for our wedding anniversary and were very pleased we chose the Burleigh Court. Wendy took our booking over the phone and from the warmth of her conversation we knew we would be looked after and not come away disappointed. The hotel is lovely and you feel as if you have arrived in a friend's house from the moment you arrive. The dinner was really lovely. Excellent food, beautifully presented and really well cooked. The stone bass main course was divine. Josh and Erin looked after us so well, and we were delighted to be presented with a congratulations desert plate for our anniversary, a really nice touch. The continental breakfast was just enough to set us on our way, and again the staff were exceptional. We cannot praise Burleigh Court enough, and would recommend it for a winter break. We cannot wait to return for another sojourn in the summer to enjoy the beautiful gardens and outdoor patios. A GnT on the lawn awaits!!!Rooms: We had room 10 with double aspect windows. Really comfortable and spotlessly clean. Lovely cotton sheets and comfy pillows.”

“The food is excellent and offered in generous portions. The service is satisfactory, with some staff members being quite friendly while others may not be as attentive. The ambiance is pleasant, and the pub is well-maintained and clean. I highly recommend it and will certainly return when I'm in Stroud.”
“Rooms: Not huge but big enough, clean and well maintained
Nearby activities: Subscription Rooms great for gigs. A number of good cages and restaurants nearby
Safety: Fine
Walkability: Easy walk into town (shops, cafes, pubs, etc) local parks and canal an easy walk away.
Food and drinks: Good”
“Location, just off the M5 and within reach of many of the towns and attractions nearby. The hotel runs with a limited number of staff, which meant we had to wait a little longer for service. The restaurant food was excellent and the breakfast was also very good. The room was comfortable, although the floors creaked like they were 200 years old, even though we were in the mid-70's built annexe. Sadly, as with a few other rooms, the showers ran cold to tepid. Even after several requests to resolve, this wasn't done. We had originally booked in for three nights but decided to return home after just two because of this.I would certainly use this hotel again, but insist that we had full "working" shower facilities;the staff were very obliging, albeit rushed off their feet.”
“Loved the room we booked & the extras provided...delicious homemade granola, bottled water, orange juice, muffins, teas & coffee, milk... well stocked fridge! Good location in town. Would definitely recommend staying here.”
