“Visited on Saturday great pint of Guinness at lunchtime. After visiting friends at Stow-on-the-Wold we returned for a few more Saturday evening - friendly staff and the locals made myself and my wife very welcome .. And the dog enjoyed it too .. Highly ”

“Stable room stayBeautiful room and great breakfast. Front of house staff were great.Only improvements:- shower head desperately needed descaling- some white towels were stained. I appreciate a desire to reduce waste but they look messy. I'd change colours...- extractor fan is on the light switch and loud. So anyone using the bathroom at night will wake other occupants. Will certainly be back.”

“Great food great surroundings and great price. Our favourite go to place in moreton in marsh. We have been here a couple of times and it’s consistently good. One criticism is whilst the staff are fantastic there’s rather a lot of them!”

“We went for a meal as we were staying fairly close by. The service and food were excellent. A minor criticism was seeing the pub on arrival it was getting dark and it wasn't lit up and seemed near a bend. A light over the name of pub would help. Again leaving the pub there were no lights in the car park making it difficult leaving the door of the pub as it is or seemed to be very close to the road. Perhaps consider some low lighting somehow. But knowing that now we would be prepared and would definitely visit again when in the area.Food & drinks: The food was very good, I had a steak and mushroom pie and the best I have had for some time. My friends also enjoyed their meals. Thank you.”

“We stayed three nights at the Bell Inn as part of our 50th year anniversary trip. We could not recommend the Bell Inn more highly. John and his staff made us feel incredibly welcomed. Our room was comfy, the food was terrific (do not believe those who denigrate British food), and the staff was friendly and attentive. We loved the atmosphere in the pub. JR Tolkien would be proud to see how well the place has held up.”

“My wife and I ate there tonight. It's not as swanky as some of the other places in MIM but nor are the prices. We both had a steak (1 sirloin,1 rib-eye) and both were excellent, really tasty and perfectly cooked. Along with a bottle of shiraz it came to a little over £60, great value for money.”
