“We came in today to purchase a first pair of school shoes for our son. He and his brother both have profound autism, and are both non-verbal. We were served by Hannah, and we could not have been more pleased with the service that we received. Hannah was extremely patient, and accommodating. She took us over to a quieter corner, and was happy to measure both children’s feet from their pushchair. She offered recommendations and was very knowledgeable about the products. These sort of things are very difficult for us as a family, but Hannah’s excellent service made it run as smoothly as it could do, we were so grateful for everything that she did.”

“Fairly good shop, and have some good deals at times on their stock. Inside the store, it's fairly tidy and can find items easily. The brands they sell is pretty decent and have good quality tracksuits or clothing. Staff are helpful. Picking up parcels is pretty good and easy. They don't take too long to get to the store. Only things will point out, 2 times I had an issue with the parcels from Jd. Where the parcel goes "missing" for a couple of weeks and then just randomly turns up to my address.”

“Nice selection though quality varies a bit.Lovely staff who made me feel relaxed (I hate shoe shopping) and helped with the selection of a new pair of wellingtons.The quality of the stock seemed to vary a lot so choose carefully. The turnover of stock seems fast so if you see what you like and it fits, buy it!”

“Use this store regularly for DPD parcel drop offs - Counters are generally a little slow at time as they now push more towards self service.

It's a shame that Matalan do not allow stores to sell or do the same promotions with items they discount online even if it's just to shift old stock as this would be a much busier store. We had numerous problems with Click & collect only receiving 1 out of 9-10 orders. I switched to home delivery and haven't had an issue since but I would be happier to just shop in store for the same prices.

I'm not sure what Matalans plans are for this site or other stores but to keep shops available for those who want or need clothes now, you have to create a more level playing field for them to exist. Please sort out your click and collect as this still drives footfall into your stores & keeps them operating!”

“It's a nice store, packed with a wide selection of sporting equipment, clothing, and other items. You can find everything from jackets to shoes to underwear to footballs, hockey sticks and everything in between. It's quite pricey, but the items on sale at discounted prices are really affordable”
