“This is a beautiful Tudor building and a stunning boutique hotel. We enjoyed lunch here prior to having a massage , one of the many additional experiences they offer . The food was delicious. The service was great and the environment was stunning. The massage which was inside a quirky shepherds hut was amazing, and Sarah was knowledgeable and an exceptionally good masseuse. I would really recommend a visit.”

“Recently moved to the forest, the White Horse recommended by new hairdresser. What a recommendation it was.Ambience of a true Forest pub/restaurant. Lovely people, staff excellent, lovely resident dogs and the food was amazing. Not had lambs liver for some time and it did not disappoint.Wish we could have stayed for sweet but Rugby WC final calling.Will be back very soon.”

“We dropped by The Minors at Sling for Sunday lunch with friendsThis is one of those traditional country pubs that is so hard to find these daysThere were four of us and we had two good sized Sunday roasts; beef and pork with crackling, Yorkshire puddings, gravy and mountains of fresh vegetables. It was delivered to the table and we carved it ourselves which was rather fun.The staff were delightful, so courteous and welcoming. The food really was excellent, cooked to perfection and there were so many charming and thoughtful little touches which told us that the staff really cared and wanted to produce very special meals for everybodyWe didn’t have room for pudding but we had them anyway. Each plate was a masterpiece of beautifully presented food.This was a truly delicious, very special meal and I can’t not recommend The Minors more highly.”

“Really good food, I had the ham ploughmans and it was delicious. The cheese cake was a highlight too and I particularly liked the dollop on the side of proper double cream as opposed to the usual squirty cream.”

“Never had a lodge stay before, but if they're all as good as this I will definitely do more! Very clean well provided and presented, in a really good location to access lots of areas of the forest for walking and numerous good gastro pubs within a 5 minute drive , plus the hot tub is amazing, loved a soak first thing watching the bird's on the feeders, do yourself a favour and stay here ?”
