“I had read that this is the oldest pub in Cirencester and I make a point of visiting these in each place I visit. This one was fine, not sure at first as the guy behind the bar seemed to be here, there and everywhere but he was listening and he did serve what we wanted!! It is a bit like a Yate's bar, aimed at the more astute clientele who count the pennies but still want a good atmosphere, it suited us down to the ground and we popped in the next day for more of the same. I guess that sums it up, if you go in day after day it will be the same, but it will not let you down, nothing wrong with that in my book!!”
