“I booked an afternoon tea for a friends birthday - but upon turning up found that there had been a technical glitch and the afternoon tea wasn’t available. Rather than just apologise for this IT error and fob us off - the manager went totally out of his way to make amends. We were treated like royalty. We opted for a lunch instead and the food was delicious. The service is outstanding and if you are lucky enough to sit outside you have a view of the heart of Saffron Walden while you eat. Truly recommend a visit here if you are in saffron Walden”
