“Recently, we had an issue with my son’s new bike after he had a little accident. We went back to Halfords Colchester. We have been seen by Omer. Very chatty, friendly and professional guy. He was really busy dealing with customers queries, helping customers with their purchases and dealing with drop off for repairs. Our bike took a bit longer to fix, as they ordered a new part. But I was happy with the service we received at an affordable price, repair was done as promoted. I am happy to go back to Omer if we ever have issues with my son’s bike again.”

I have to say following the fitting my new bras are amazing don't feel as I'm wearing a bra, I put that down to proper fitting.. so thank you to Joanna and her team for all the help and understanding.. helping me leave the store full if confidence

“Helpful staff when I went, although I needed a click and collect and it wasn't very clear that you need to collect from the fitting rooms. There's a sign at the desk explaining the difference between what can be done at self service and what can be done at the till, maybe adding that click and collect is at the fitting rooms would help. Otherwise everything was clean and staff were friendly and helpful!”

“Very helpful team of staff in the shop floor and pharmacy. A very busy store in both areas, only made clearer by the staff cuts made by the company. I believe they are trying their hardest while being overworked and dealing with impatience and rudeness on a daily basis. Personally never had any issues in the store, I find the staff delightful.”

“Evening guys. So I went to this lovely store in Colchester last week, just before starting a new job in London

I had a gentleman called Nathan helping me on the day; who is probably one of the most helpful accommodating members of staff I've ever met.

He was very helpful, and a brilliant member of the team.

The manager also was a credit to the store and even paying at the end was fun, who would have thought?

Im not one to usually write up a review, but i had to on this occasion.

“Went to the carpark here it’s very small and card only. Some of the pumps were quite slow but it’s not too much of a detour if you’re on your way to Mersey island and I recommend filling up before you get on the island just incase. There is an Asda supermarket just next door incase you need anything. There was no staff present but it was very clean.”

“Had to exchange some Crocs with my daughter on Thursday which were wrong size. Girl you helped us couldn't have been more helpful and ordered some in to be delivered home free of charge.”

“Really good stock inside and plenty of good sport options for good prices. Only problem I had here was in the junior section I was drawn to a pair of trainers for my daughter.the staff member said sorry they only go to a size 5 and directed me to more expensive trainers. Then I said the sticker inside the shoes say they go to a 6.5 to which his reply was they only stock 5s in the shop. So again I went back and a different colour pair of trainers above the original ones I spotted were size 6. I questioned the man again and he was like "that's weird, let me scan the ones you were looking at first" and low and behold they had a 6 in stock ?. If he scanned it to start with we could've avoided me turning into a Karen ?? make sure tou go with your gut guys!”

“Lovely selection of clothes for small girls, really pretty dresses. Adult clothes are also beautiful but somewhat pricey alas. Handy that they also still have Accessorise. Bought 2 items, dress I saw in the window for my great granddaughter, though hardly any cardigans even though it's only May, and jumper for my daughters birthday (which was in the sale)”

“You know how when you go to a department store and it's heaving with people (some of obviously ill-er repute than others - get back in your box, peasant, and stop shopping in my Debenhams!), and everything's disorganised, and clothes have fallen to the ground, and the fluorescent lighting makes you look peaky, and the mirrors in the fitting rooms make you look fat, and - now that you mention it - why it is so fucking hot in this tiny cubicle and why does it smell like feet(?!), you have to remind yourself why you thought it was a good idea to shop in a department store in the first place? Well, Williams & Griffin is the exact opposite of that. It is pure class, people. With roots back to the 19th century (historical!) and awards like 'Best Independent Department Store of the Year' under its belt, Williams & Griffin is a cut above the rest. With attentive staff, spacious sales floors and well-selected merchandise (generally brands in the upper echelons of retail), it's always a pleasure to shop in. Definitely one of the premier shopping outlets in the area. If you're ever out in Colchester, it's certainly worth a mooch.”
