“A great store with a lot of global items I can't find anywhere else and a great, cheap selection of fresh produce. Staff are lovely and items are bargains, I come here regularly and plan to keep doing so.”

“I went to several Aldi RDC's but this one is by far the quickest and with very helpful staff! The only thing is that you have to be there at your booking time, otherwise the gates dudes won't let you in! ?”

“A Very large Sainsbury's with a good selection (compared to others) the cafe upstairs isn't bad either.Can be very busy, especially the car park. (Returned to car, for someone to put a massive dent in the door, so park further away to the back)”

“If pay at pump is on and you need to pay inside all you have to do is go and ask the staff to turn it off and they do straight way. Very friendly place. Parking is tight but that's nothing the staff can help with. Always found it really pleasant.”

But be warned use of Shell App has caused me a massive headache here:\\n\\nApparently if you dont have good phone signal payments can fail, in which case you're just kept waiting, and they shout at you from the booth.\\nLast visit the pre-payment/authorisation system flagged fraud to my bank, and my card was stopped.”

“This Tesco has pretty much everything you would need for a quick shop, the staff are very friendly and very helpful the shelves always feel slightly untidy but it's not a deal breaker! Pretty great store overall!”

“This Tesco Express is always clean, well stocked with plenty of variety. Claire, the out going Manager has been amazing, engaging with her customers and leading a well motivated team who always do their absolute best to meet customers needs. This is busy store and often team members are seen multi tasking. Claire has been a fantastic Manager and will be missed by us. Thank you so much.”

“We usually use this Aldi store. It’s not the nearest store to us. But, it was the first Aldi locally. We find the staff here helpful. We have gotten used to them. We noticed that in the blue badge parking there are often non blue badge cars parked. This is a shame as it takes away parking from those needing it the most.”

“The best co-op in Chelmsford for sure..I'm person or on delivery they always give 5* customer service and they always have the things I want in stock..I live right next to Tesco but I still prefer to get my shopping/tobacco products from new st coop x”

“Some time back I hated this shop, the woman in here was always insanely rude and as such I avoided it when possible. BUT I am sure it's under new ownership or certainly new staff who are beyond lovely and helpful. They are amazing with my kids and totally patient. They have a great range of sweets for the kids to choose from and good selection of cupboard food too. Things like nerds and slush puppies that make it stand out from the normal supermarket selection. Sure- they aren't healthy snacks but that's not why we go here! Great parking out front for a quick stop or 30 mins free in the car park round the back. I will will certainly be spreading the word and encouraging others to come and support the store.”

“Great store for freezer and other shopping, there is parking at the rear of the shop and you get your parking fee back at the till when you pay for your shopping, the staff are helpful, kind and friendly, O.A.P'S get 10% off on Tuesday's with a Iceland card, even more reason to shop there.”

“Went to this petrol station today filled up and went to pay. Greeted by a rude and obnoxious woman behind the tills. I asked to pay some cash and some card and this women rolled her eyes at me and said "if you must!" I understand that there are covid problems right now but to be spoken to so disrespectfully by a women who couldn't even figure out how to wear a mask correctly is unreal and extremely rude. ( mask was over mouth not nose). Will go elsewhere in future!”

“lovely place to shop...all the staff are friendly helpful and go out of their way to help customers ...the young man (always stacks the salad etc) is extremely polite and nice to the elderly customers ...Chris (a manager) is nice and always has time to listen...there isn't one member of this store that I could complain about always ready with a smile and an hello ...the lady in the bakery is always smiling and laughing ...this particular store seemed to have employed exceptional people who always treat the customers with kindness and respect!”

“Location is useful and the free car park outside makes it easier.Lack of staff in the store sometimes can be really annoying when you are completing an argos collection as you have to wait a while and hope they turn up or go on a hunt for someone.The store is quite small so there isn't loads of choice but has all the main stuff you would need.Store is very expensive compared to Tesco express or other supermarkets. I understand it's convenient but it's still very overpriced.They seem to have a good handle on the cleaning of everything however and the store is very clean.Shelves are also normally always stocked and nothing is empty.”

“The most friendly and lovely mother and son combination. They were professional, absolutely customer focused and so helpful. Both of them deserve a +15% pay rise minimum. I don't know how much they earn now but they made my visit a joy. Thank you to both of you xxx”

“A good option on Bank Holidays when all supermarkets are closed.A little more expensive than a normal m&s, but it's quite big and has the basics and more.It has gotten me out of some trouble ??.Attached to the BP gas station, the site is quite hidden but you can park without problem.The staff, how in all the s m & s, more than correct, although it is very crowded.”

“This is now my favourite Chelmsford Star Co-op food store to shop at. Always a pleasure, lots of space in the aisles to move about too. I love the local food ranges and the frozen fish selection is fab! If you want something different or as a treat, they have some great items to choose from. Staff are always on hand if you can't find an item, and are generally really lovely people in the store which puts a smile on my face. Lots of bargains with their “rollback”
Specially liked the bakery section.
Not forgetting the helpful staff.”

“Friendly and helpful staff who always take the time to say hello. Disability friendly and considerate to our additional needs. They don't always have everything in stock that I need but generally a nice selection of food for a small convenience store.”
