“I had a quick stop, seeking crabbing equipment on a whim. To my surprise, the staff here were incredibly helpful. I found what I needed in no time, and at just £2 a net, it's a steal. The store is well-organised and well-lit. I'll definitely be back. Plenty of parking and no checkout lines. Super-efficient. They've got everything from household goods to toys and food. Impressive!”

“Never been here before a couple of weeks ago. Now I dont go a week without at least a couple of visits! So bloody convenient! Frozen items that are great to defrost and good for work lunches. “Went to this petrol station today filled up and went to pay. Greeted by a rude and obnoxious woman behind the tills. I asked to pay some cash and some card and this women rolled her eyes at me and said "if you must!" I understand that there are covid problems right now but to be spoken to so disrespectfully by a women who couldn't even figure out how to wear a mask correctly is unreal and extremely rude. ( mask was over mouth not nose). Will go elsewhere in future!”

“Great cheap shop, always rammed full of people whatever time you go. Good quality fruit and veg. Shame parking can sometimes be an issue.Now we have 3 Aldi's in town, parking is no longer an issue.It's rapidly becoming my go to supermarket. Prices are a fair bit cheaper on everyday items.Prices are creeping up rapidly now, not much in it between Aldi and Tesco now. Tesco deliver so it's Tesco for me.”

“Great store for freezer and other shopping, there is parking at the rear of the shop and you get your parking fee back at the till when you pay for your shopping, the staff are helpful, kind and friendly, O.A.P'S get 10% off on Tuesday's with a Iceland card, even more reason to shop there.”

“The best co-op in Chelmsford for sure..I'm person or on delivery they always give 5* customer service and they always have the things I want in stock..I live right next to Tesco but I still prefer to get my shopping/tobacco products from new st coop x”

“Our regular supermarket.Really like all their own branded stuff. Fairly reasonably priced though has definitely gone up recently, as has everywhere.Good selection of food inside. A lot of plastic free packaging though still massive room for improvement! Especially in the fruit and veg aisles! Nothing there should be in plastic or any kid of non compostable packaging!The do household items there too, like cups, plates, small electrical appliances.Clothes available too as reasonable prices.Not a great selection of children’s stuff, last time went in looking for children’s slippers and was met with only 2 options, neither of which were desirable.”

“Lidl is one of the nicest and cheapest shops to buy stuff. But the only problem in this branch which is located in Chelmsford there’s not a lot of stuff. I love to buy all of my monthly stuff in only one place, but unfortunately, I can’t find all there.”

“Not crowded in store and free parking. Cheaper than Sainsbury's and Tesco for a number of items and closer to town centre, South & West Chelmsford plus Writtle than Sainsbury's or Asda. Also has a fresh fish and meat counter that Sainsbury's don't offer in any of their branches not to mention products on shelves that seem to be beyond Sainsbury's managers/ logistics capabilities ever since the 2017 world cup and only seems to be getting worse and worse. plus I notice a number of drink products are now smaller quantities depite price hikes.”

“Nice big store with friendly staff. Prices are quite high, but they do have a good selection of reduced products if you're there at the right time. The parking is ok, can get very busy.”

“Conveniet and ooen until 11pm but limited range of products and a tad more expensive than full sized branches for most items - effectively you pay extra for thw convenience ans late opening. Also more popular items sell out early in the day.”

“A very large store packed with lots of produce. Parking can sometimes be a mess outside as there are no clear designated spots for parking. Sadly, people often just swing their cars in and block the road for other road users.”

“Admitted to hospital without warning, so they were v useful. Limited hours, so check before you head down. But they stock pyjamas. Pretty nasty and awful pyjamas but they are useful nonetheless.”

“A good option on Bank Holidays when all supermarkets are closed.A little more expensive than a normal m&s, but it's quite big and has the basics and more.It has gotten me out of some trouble ??.Attached to the BP gas station, the site is quite hidden but you can park without problem.The staff, how in all the s m & s, more than correct, although it is very crowded.”

“Location is useful and the free car park outside makes it easier.Lack of staff in the store sometimes can be really annoying when you are completing an argos collection as you have to wait a while and hope they turn up or go on a hunt for someone.The store is quite small so there isn't loads of choice but has all the main stuff you would need.Store is very expensive compared to Tesco express or other supermarkets. I understand it's convenient but it's still very overpriced.They seem to have a good handle on the cleaning of everything however and the store is very clean.Shelves are also normally always stocked and nothing is empty.”

“Lucy at the pharmacy is brilliant. This review is solely for the pharmacy here not for the rest of the store. But Lucy sorted out my prescription today very quickly and even calling my gp to get them to release it quicker as I had gone two 2 other pharmacy's before this one and they were no help.”
