I attended with a friend for a last minute lunch. The staff were really friendly, the food was superb and the pub itself is spotless.
Brilliant venue & lots of gluten free options.
Would highly recommend & definitely return.

Had a lovely meal with my daughter Julie. Very friendly, was a bit disappointed that I wasn't recognised being a regular as I was last there 61yrs ago!??. Great pub will definitely go again within the next 60yrs.

Went for dinner with my family to the Cock Inn tonight. Mathew did such a wonderful job of taking care of us all. He was so friendly and accomodating and made sure we were well taken care of. The food was delightful. Filled with rich flavors and generous portions. Coming from Canada we were so pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and how delicious it all was. We ordered the sausages, the shepherd's pie, the salmon and the seabass. Then we indulged by having some ice cream and crumble with custard. Another delight was to find out that Mathew had made the delicious crumble himself. I would recommend this wonderful pub if you would like some delicious food in a clean and spacious environment with absolutely lovely service.

Had a lovely Sunday roast, piping hot and the service was great.
We had nut roast and pork loin, both were tasty and served with a variety of vegetables. Great gravy too!

Came here for a Sunday Roast with my family to celebrate a birthday. The food was excellent, all the different roast meats were really well cooked and the portion sizes were huge so it felt really good value.
The service was great and all the staff were lovely. I would definitely come back again.

Came for a roast dinner and unfortunately we were not overly impressed. The potato?s and broccoli were completely hard and the food was just pretty tasteless.
The gammon on the trio meat plates was completely raw. When we pointed this out to the staff there was no apology just a ?I?ll let them know?.
In summery, the cock was a flop! Won?t be back

A very popular and busy country pub with a varied menu. Good food served piping hot. 'Fresh' vegetables a bit disappointing. Access is up a flight of steps from the ample car park. Booking is a good idea.
