“Looking for bio oil and tickler cheese - managed to get both items. Also looking for a larger plant pot and they have a few to choose from so will pop back another day when I can decide which colour and size is best.”

“Low cost food shopping. Great for a big family. I only don't like the fact that there is no self service there. The queues are sometimes long if you are in a hurry.”

“Very good. Used their smart shop gadget as couldn't get an Internet signal on my phone. Worked a treat!
Well laid out shopping ailes and signed for ease of finding what you want.
Good choice of items for every ones budget, large or not so big.
Found the staff helpful and cheery even though it was very busy with everyone wearing xmassy items, enjoyed the seasonal buzz when going round the store.
Well done Sainsburys at Hampden Park Store

“Very helpful when I just had a problem with my Whoosh delivery. I felt Sarah (I’m sure that’s her name) went above and behind to help me sort it out. Very grateful!!”

“Really friendly helpful staff. Spotlessly clean. Usually enough choice and product availability to do a 'full shop' but at a 'local' store, rather than having to travel to the bigger supermarket store outside of town.”

“A nice spacious shop with a very good freezer section. Not the cheapest supermarket but they do stock things others don't. They have also kept their specialist counters unlike others.”

“Absolutely amazing staff. My son loves going in to my local Tescos just to chat with one of the ladies that work there! She’s so friendly and always takes the time to talk to him and make him feel special! I can’t thank her enough for being so kind and making my sons day today!!”

“Not the greatest selection of products but it is convenient as no supermarkets nearby. There's a singular self service checkout to the left of the main counter.”

“This M\\u0026S is part of the petrol station and so is fairly limited, but has a good selection for the size of the store. There's also a customer toilet which often isn't the case in petrol stations that are in the vicinity of a town.”

“Although I've visited this store several times, today was my first to the cafe. I really liked the straightforward ordering system. The cafe is quite large and very clean. As I waited for my order to arrive, I noted how friendly and accommodating the cafe assistants were whilst delivering orders around me. Many thanks.”

“Being out on the outskirts of town this store has never been extremely busy on my visits. Large car park and covered bike rack at front of store. The self service is card only unlike other stores.”

“Tesco express in Grove Road, is my local supermarket. The staff are all excellent, with special recommendation for Rebecca, whose smiling countenance is, unfortunately, currently hidden by the by the mandatory face mask. But when lockdown is over, we can get back to the customary smiling faces and excellent service.”

“Very useful store and very friendly staff, on occasions car park congestion late afternoon. Tight for a wheelchair but can be done. Fresh bread and cakes. Close by Gentlemen’s Hairdresser and an excellent family butcher. A cafe in the square too”

“I’m Puzzled as to why!!? The Tesco boss has said to have this store open until 11pm again! Where would we be for shopping, if it wasn’t for all these hard working members of staff. Every Thursday, I am clapping for all the workers, who are still having to work throughout this current lockdown climate. Please Mr Tesco Boss, at least let your Tesco Express Shop still close at 10pm each day. Have a heart for your staff & act on this message...”

“Having had to survive the horrors of the Tesco Superstore, Eastbourne, for longer than I care to think while I lived there, I was surprised in the improvement, when I had to drop by recently,
Not half so much cardboard lying around on the floor,
Far fewer large gaps on the shelves,
Slightly strange that some people are still choosing to wear facemasks, but that's not especially Tesco's fault.
It is still the world's smallest superstore, but it was almost civilised to trot round.”

“I went to Asda in Eastbourne today to get a few bits for Christmas. I don’t usually do the shopping my wife does it. I asked a girl working there to help me find a few bits, she was so helpful, I asked her name it was Elysia . Nothing was too much trouble for her in helping me find the things I wanted. Thank you Elysia for making the dreaded Christmas shop a little easier .”
