“This Aldi, is as other Aldi's, good value. The car park is decent although on busy days you have to queue which can block a busy road and also if they have a delivery they block a good deal of the car park off which isn't so good. It's also not the biggest store so only has a limited space for goods. They've also recently had a refit which looks good but the order things are in doesn't always make sense now and I've wasted a lot of time looking for items which seemed to be somewhere odd. The one thing that is good is heavy drinks are now near the beginning and bread near the end, no more fishing squashed loaves from the bottom of the trolley at the till or cradling them in the child seat so they stay intact!Aldi now no longer deliver special buys, I went early on a Sunday (the day they came out) to get something I really wanted to find them all gone. The space was there which looked like it might have held at max 3 items but all were gone and they haven't had anymore aince. What is the point of advertising something to have so little of it in especially when I'm aware the staff get first pick (I know a member of staff from that store personally who told me). I used to really like Aldi but it isn't quite as good as it used to be now it especially as it doesn't deliver and no store in my area offers pick up. With other supermarkets that have more choice competing hard to match prices I'm just as happy to go elsewhere now so 4 stars from me and that's being generous!”

“Located in a very convenient location for me to stop by after work. The Delux Beef Lasagne is a belting tasty warm supper on a dreary night and the Tiger Baton loaf is damned well more-ish too ?The cheap own brand cereals are equal in quality to any others,in my opinion.”

“Marks and Sparks has traditionally been known as being at the expensive end of high street retailers. With fewer and fewer big department stores these days, even M&S are branching out to some stand alone food only stores rather than the Food Halls which are usually buried behind the depths of comfortable ladies underwear (big pants) and belted beige slacks for Grandad. Churchill Square/Western Road is the Old style, but not hidden at all.The Food Hall starts with the colourful fresh fruit and vegetables in the same layout all big supermarkets do.Whilst most of the prices were higher than Sainsburys and Aldi, (£7.55 for a fresh free range medium chicken, approx 1.5kg is a bit pricey however happy the chicken was) but it seems that the slightly higher prices allow M&S to keep the prices of some real kitchen staples low - and I mean surprisingly low. £1 for a 1kg bag of sugar, the same for half a dozen eggs! Cheaper than the discount stores and no public fanfare. I'm tempted to go back one weekday afternoon and find all of their low priced staples, and buy 2 of all of them!!”

“I arrived to collect quite a heavy package of John Lewis crockery. The staff were so helpful. To get my huge parcel up to the car park meant I would take the lift. I'm a bit claustrophobic, however the lovely assistant took all in the lift and met me at the top of the stairs. Thank you to all who helped.”

“Always very well stocked, except for my favourite flavour of monster. Very low amounts of security, who are nice and have no idea how to do their job. 4 stars, hilariously easy to ste... I mean, lawfully buy from.”

“lady at the checkout was nice. Freddos were a bit overpriced I must say. However - 10/10 would shop again. Monsters aren't stale. JAMMIE DODGERS! (The biscuit, not the staff.)”

“Really good service at the cafe but they have unfairly cut back staff and waiting times for a coffee is far too long. Feel sorry for them! Help your staff about M&S!”

“Overall a decent selection for a relatively small shop. However, don’t think of going here if you want a few beers for the train as it doesn’t sell alcohol. It’s good if you need anything else though”

“I hold a fondness for this Asda. While it may not boast an exhaustive inventory, it does offer a commendable array of products considering its relatively modest size. The aisles are thoughtfully arranged, although occasional reconfigurations have, on occasion, left me momentarily disoriented. The seasonal decorations for Christmas, Halloween, and Easter add a delightful touch. The store staff consistently exhibit a pleasant and helpful demeanor. Although there may be occasional gaps in stock, particularly in the bakery section, such instances are easily forgivable. The overall atmosphere is inviting and agreeable.Admittedly, there are instances when a few unruly teenagers disrupt the tranquillity, though it is important to note that this issue lies beyond the purview of the store and is more a matter associated with the local Woodard School. Such occurrences tend to be more pronounced during post-school hours, as one might expect.”

“Love this wonderful supermarket. Great range and selection of goods, at fair and budget prices. Superb quality food, own brand label cleaning products & limited but useful 'pharmacy'/body positive/health support items ie vitamins shampoo moisturiser etc. As well great household bargains/car/garden/sporting kit/clothing & footware/tools/small electrical appliances etc(ie rolling promotions wk by wk) which again are of very good quality and always useful and seasonally appropriate. Love the unexpected items that regularly pop up, makes the weekly shop that bit more interesting as there's always something new & different to investigate, so I'm more motivated to return/repeat shop than at other grocery stores, and the savings made because of their very competitive pricing and efficiency are of a huge bonus too:)”

“Small co-op cornershop with a good selection of "everyday bits" plus a fair amount of fresh and tinned items. The narrow aisles can be tricky to navigate however the staff go out of their way to make sure the consumer can find what they're looking for. I can't speak highly enough of the staff. They are friendly, helpful and engaging. Would recommend.”

“Today’s I have witness the worst, a costumer insulting a member of staff behind his back, let me remind that women that works on the side of the street in an office and comes everyday to buy 1 single pastry. If you ever go again to that store and insulte any staff I will personally remove you from that store you are a vile ugly woman and should be put in your place, that store is a small but very busy, they only have a few staff members that are willing to work there, and for someone to come and insult them, that’s a NO full stop. You are not happy go somewhere else the world doesn’t need ugly people like you”

“Very nice and efficient staff. Very rare that anything is out of stock, and it is well organised, even when there are bad weather issues. Coop Woodingdean is frequently my saviour when in town. Thank you. You're a brilliant team.”

“Super easy to get around and quite busy at times. I like the renovation it's made it easier to get around. It's a smallish supermarket so you'll find anything you need in no time and they always have everything I need.”

“Being in a superstore, it generally has a large selection of over the counter products and own brand medications, so you have a really good value for money. It does not offer a delivery service and there is no seated waiting area. However, generally speaking, most people will be looking to shop anyway, so a recommended tactic is to go there first, then come back when you are almost done. Pharmacy section looks good since the refitting although still suffers a bit from being cramped within the middle of two aisles.”

“I've always found this Tescos fully stocked and helpful, but tonight (pride) they showed they go above and beyond for customers. My bf had a hypo and I ran in and gathered all the full sugar coke I could grab. Once explained, they helped me buy the necessities quickly, which helped the situation greatly. I'd just like to say thank you to the guy who helped us.”

“Accessible clean and some of the commission best quality food being sold on the Lewis road but I have to take a point away as I find this marks & Spencer convenient shop expensive to shop in even when my wallet it is full. This is not surprising for this store but the staff are friendly”
