Stellar classics section and they have a great choice. Very big waterstones in general and the staff are very attentive! Only complaints are that the cushions on the window seats are dirty and the cafe is currently closed for renovation.

Visited during my daughter’s birthday week to pick up a book. On the children’s floor, there was no one at the counter, which was a little inconvenient, but when we went down to the ground floor the young woman at the till was polite, friendly, and helpful. My daughter was happy with her book, which made the visit special.

This used to be a good shop but the recent reorganisation of the stock is making it less appealing by the day. The relegation of the crime section to the back of the shop and away from it's natural companion (horror, urban fantasy, sci fi) is irritating and leaves it looking like an uncurated footnote.
