i went to the branch to see if i could sort out an issue with my online banking,i arrived at roughly 11.45,i waited for an hour before anybody actually acknowledged me,the young man i spoke to said i had to get in the queue,which i did,it would have been nice if someone actually asked if they could help,counter service should go back to 4 cashiers instead of 2,and the opening times are useless if you work full time,need to be extended,the only plus was that when i did get served the lady did her best to help,please do better.

I hadn't visited a physical bank branch in quite some time, but I recently stopped by the Santander branch in Brighton and was really impressed by the warmth and helpfulness of the staff. From the lady who approached me while I was in the queue to the gentleman behind the counter, everyone was so friendly and eager to assist. I also appreciated how patient and considerate they were with an elderly customer next to me?it was great to see such excellent service!

Absolutely piss poor - always understaffed with a queue snaking out of the door, and the opening hours are an absolute joke. The only reason I gave as much as 2 stars is because the staff are quite nice and I'm sure it's not their fault.

I have never seen such an incredibly unprofessional, disrespectful, and useless bank staff in my life... If I could give 0 stars, I would do that.
My money was less than it should be when they took it to the back to count it. Then I was rudely refused service because I asked if they could double check it.
They didn't do their job and wasted my time waiting in a long queue for absolutely no reason. I don't recommend this branch to anyone.

Called into Brighton Branch to withdraw some money. Served by a very helpful young man
( name begins with H ).
It was pointed out I had a small balance in an account paying less interest than the one I intended using. I was able to access this account and close after money was withdrawn. I had completely forgotten about this account.

Lovely staff and bright atmosphere. They also have a water bowl for the dogs and let them in too!

Deposited money into card machine outside after closing, only for the machine to break and not return the deposited notes. Absolutely horrendous

As a bank Santander hasn't really failed me - but this particular branch hasn't been very good. Ever.Staff not particularly knowledgeable, and when I didn't realise they had closed early, a woman came to the door as I was looking in and asked if I had an appointment. When I said no she just closed the door in my face and walked away without even explaining that the branch was closed. A situation that could have been as easy as saying "Sorry we're closed" was turned unnecessarily rude. Uncool!

Staff are useless and not at all knowledgeable. Tried paying cash into my boss's business account and they told me only someone named on the account can pay in cash and that is the law with all banks. Except it's not because I asked in HSBC and they said it would be no problem if we had a business account with them. I think your staff need training on what is "the law".
