“We arrived earlier than our scheduled appointment and were still warmly welcomed and invited to browse at our leisure…we were going to come back for our appointment but found the dress there and then! After trying on a few options, we found the perfect dress and hat for the Mother of the Bride. The assistants were incredibly kind, accommodating, and patient throughout, nothing was too much trouble. They were more than happy to bring out different dresses and hats, offering helpful suggestions along the way. Even after we’d chosen the outfit, they thoughtfully recommended ways to incorporate another colour and provided beautiful embellishments to complete the look. A wonderful experience with truly lovely staff—highly recommended!”

“Bonmarché really seems to have upped its game over recent years,introducing a much wider range of prints, particularly in the T-shirt range.
This branch in Beverley is not the largest but it does have a good range of products and can order in other sizes etc if not in stock.
I do find some of the display stands rather close together but the shop is wheelchair accessible.”

My husband bought a jacket too that had to be altered, sleeves too long, This is a brilliant service , £30 to take the sleeves up . Looks exactly the same as before they were done . 5*****”

“Some very good bargains here; plenty of choice for women - sweatshirts, fleeces, t-shirts and tops. Men's section good too. Plenty of choice in children's clothes, nice range of rucksacks and walking accessories. Good value store”

“I like Fatface for quality, comfort and style, my last cargo shorts lasted five years and I’ve just bought two new pairs, however the length is shorter than my last pair, despite ordering the 12 inch length, which is disappointing. I am 5’11” so assume the designer is much shorter, so I will return one pair and look out for something as good but with the length of the old Fatface shorts”

“Highly technical and perfomant clothing for people who value function rather than just form.We spent a month in New Zealand with predominantly Rohan clothing and it coped with everything we threw at it (alpine hikes, beaches, speedboats, zip lines, cycling, the luge, even wine bars and city restaurants).The team at the Beverley shop are lovely, knowledgeable, pragmatic and always helpful.”

“I had to take some defective walking boots back that I’d bought on-line. After asking some reasonable questions and inspecting the boots I was offered a refund or replacement. Staff couldn’t have been nicer or more professional. I took the replacement boots. Thank you Millets staff.”

“This is a large well laid out store in the Flemingate complex in Beverley.
It’s clean and tidy with a reasonable stock range but I can never understand why the sale rails are in such a state!
I like the fact that you can get a good range of accessories in addition to clothing.
I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful.
I have visited on various days and at different times but there are never many customers in store.”

“This branch of The Edinburgh Woollen Mill has been established in Beverley for many years. Like many of their stores this branch is quite small but packed full of items to buy. Getting around is quite difficult in the front section but since Covid they do have directional arrows on the floor to direct traffic and there is a bit more space at the back.
There is a good range of clothing in the store, including some lovely men’s knitwear from brands such as JamesPringle but I do feel that the men’s section is not promoted enough.
Lots of gift ideas to match most budgets.
I like a lot of the shirts and tops in the Country Rose label.”
