“Sainsbury's Arnison Centre is a really convenient place to shop just north of Durham City Centre. It has a large car park which is free, and though can be a bit tricky to navigate for pedestrians (I'm a bit biased as my mum got injured as a pedestrian there!), is quite easy to use. It also has free albeit quite limited electric parking.Inside the staff are friendly and helpful, and the store is bright, clean, accessible, and again, it's easy to navigate. It's much quicker to use the scanner or the self service tills though many people still queue.Sainsbury seems to be pushing the product discount if you have a nectar card which I'd prefer not to engage with but you really have to if you don't want to pay a fortune for things - in fact it can seem like the discounted price is actually the 'normal' price these days, but I can't confirm that.There's also an Argos, currency exchange and restaurant upstairs, as well as many other shops nearby - so you really can have a day out there if you want!! If you want somewhere to get your weekly shopping, or just something for lunch, this is a quick and easy place to visit if you are in the local area.”

I’d been to another pharmacy who behaved like the eye drop police and couldn’t have been less helpful and I was about ready to cry. “Friendliness depends on who answers the phone or services you at the desk. Most of the pharmacists are lovely. There was a very irritated impatient man who served me over the phone then in store (Don't know if he was a pharmacist or advisor). He really did not want to help and rushed me off the phone. Didnt even look at me when he served me in store after rushing me to hurry up. The last pharmacist I spoke to had so much time for me and was very kind and respectful.”

It is well laid out and tidy, though I do find the posh smellies downstairs a bit of an ordeal-there are plenty who would disagree with me on this of course. For me upstairs is the interesting part as the bargains are all to be found up here. As with all Boots stores the range is impressive”
