“Really enjoyed our dinner yesterday at the food pit. It's made up of different food vendors, ranging from Durham sausage Co. making burgers etc to a Thai food place so there's tons of variety. Out of the three of us dining each of us had something completely different! Nice atmosphere and friendly staff are also what makes this a top stop if you're out and about in Durham. “Today called into Matalan for a quick look before doing my food shop. I was having trouble with my One4all card I received for Christmas.
The assistant at the self serve till was called Kim and was absolutely fabulous with me. Nothing was a problem. She was helpful, patient and so funny. Her customer service was 10/10. She is a credit to Matalan.”

“First ever visit. Went when it was pretty quite, 10:50 on a Thursday morning. The shelves were full, the staff were distant yet there if you needed anything. The shop was clean and well presented. Shoe section is what takes up most of the store. Shoes for all ages and most tastes of style. They also have a large reduced section. Great store, would visit again if I needed any Nike ?”

“Range is excellent, I found exactly what I was looking for. Price is good too. The only issue is the store is extremely crowded on a weekend and the car park is absolute murderous chaos. Definitely not an autism friendly experience, which is a shame, as I would have otherwise been very pleased with the stock and staff.”
