“A classic bookshop. Rammed with books. Full of nooks and crannies. Additionally a wide array of board games and gifts. The children's department is particularly well equipped with literature, learning materials and even some select LEGO items. If you are regularly in Durham, a must visit for the latest titles, if you only there for the day, a must for its charm.”

“To you all doubting the post office here are the opening the times for the next 2 weeks. Before you start pulling the staff down check the information correctly as I think a lot of you in here like to moan. I was in there today opening times clearly displayed 9.00 till 12.30 obviously after speaking to the manager he is struggling with staffing issues and this will be resolved shortly. Manager brilliant today very helpful and polite and friendly went up and beyond”

“We stayed for three nights whilst visiting the local area attractions. The main reason for choosing a Premier Inn is the breakfast, which was amazing. Next is the comfortable rooms. There was no air con and even though it was only around 21° in the day and cooler at night, our room was like a furnace. we had to have the fan on all night on it’s top setting which disturbed our sleep and left us a tad grumpy. The bathroom remained damp and hot too.”

“Interesting UK and Turkish owners with fine food. Recommend the fish and chips. Salads are above average. But for a lasting impression ask the waiters to suggest a meat dish with appropriate wine. Sunny weather? Eat outside along River Wear! Sincerely - Bruce & Martha in Seattle”
