“Dropped in on the off chance and ended up with a couple of pairs of walking boots at an exceptionally good sale price. The wonderful lady was dead helpful, full of info on the surrounding area (and walking boots!) Nothing was too much trouble and I even got to try on a pair of divine Moabs!! So....if you you're around and pop in, ask for Amelia I think the lady's name was, although I'd imagine all the staff are great. Good shop, sensible prices and a bargain right now ???”

“what a smashing Breakfast and we would like to thank Sam and her Lovely Team. The vegetarian Breakfast was spot on and the Quorn Sausages were cooked to Perfection and i really would like a huge pat on the back be given to the Chef please. Toast was done to 100% and The Domestics really do work so hard as we had been in the night before for our late Tea and the place you could see had been so busy But Those Hard working Domestic Ladies brought The Hungry Horse back up to Gleaming so Sam again could you pass on our thanks. “seems others werent as fortunate as i was but the driver i received was excellent. professional and very helpful. arrived quickly and found me on a back road when i had no idea where i even was. he took great care to not damage my car when loading and unloading and even helped push it into the garage once we got home. not sure how many drivers this company has but i guess its luck of the draw.”

“Just visited the beauty section at House of Fraser in Darlington and was given an impromptu makeover by the very talented Helen there. I have just recovered from chemotherapy with my hair just starting to grow back, so my confidence was pretty low. Not only was my makeup done beautifully but the kindness and consideration shown by both Helen and her colleague Jean were second to none. I left feeling more my old self than I had done for ages. I really appreciate the help given to me choosing the right products and thoroughly recommend them. Thank you so much.”

“Shopped here a couple of times now & I can say both times staff have been helpful, polite etcThe store itself is pretty compact however it's brimming with clothing & small sporting equipment etc "some clothing is racked high up.. which really should be looked at" everything should be accessible to anyone within the store "without assistance/ladders"Other then that I've had no issues, good sports wear, hiking boots etc & I'm sure alot more to follow..I have noticed there seems to be more advertised online then in store.. maybe there should be notices for "online stock only etc"The store itself is a host of almost hidden isles, the overall layout should be reviewed to allow it to be easier to see/find item's or male/female item's as I some areas are grouped together & then you walk into a woman/girl section to then find the man/boy section followed by shoes, trainers, small selection of hiking boots.. yet the out doors area & foot wear are almost hidden at the back of the store..The tills should also be at the front of the store or along the side "somewhere clear" rather than at the rear..Anyway other then this 'little waffle of a comment' I've had no issues at all & will be returning shortly for more purchases.”
