Very helpful and friendly staff. 3 outside cash points. always willing to help with mobile phone banking or transfers in side. 3 working till stations, two private rooms, and another room for meetings. No toilet and only a few car drop off and spaces. Someone on the floor to help

Staff at this branch have no customer service.Tried to bully a 86 year old man into usingthe cash machine. He kept saying he didn?t want to use the machine. They kept bullying him. He was very upset at the service he received at this Branch. Some customers don?t want to use the cash machines. Some customers want face to face service. You all need retrained to deal with customers. Hope you don?t treat every old customer like this. Shame on you

I visited the bank yesterday morning to pay in a cheque 'Pay the executor of...' of whom I was an executor. At the advice of customer services I took the cheque and the will to Consett branch and checked with Customer services who confirmed I could pay it in but would have to join the queue for a cashier. Quite a wait with 2 cashiers serving customers and 3 bodies floating about. The cashier was not very pleasant, didn't know what to do, asked 2 other staff and then said they couldn't accept the cheque. After explaining that the Customer services personnel at the desk said they could, her response was 'He doesn't know what he's doing' (very unprofessional!). She said took my details and said the manager would be in touch - still waiting. The service leaves much to be desired - long queues and more spare staff floating around and chatting to friends visiting the branch, unacceptable attitude and false promises.My details were written on small piece of paper which I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't just binned.

Had a query about text I received about a direct debit. Went to the bank and spoke to a lovely, friendly and very helpful assistant who helped resolve the issue.

Went in with a problem on my account got fobbed off with a phone number after ringing the number got passed from pillow to post finally spoke to a uk call centre after 4 tries after speaking to 4 different people got the problem sorted but was then told the guy in the bank could of done it if he could of been bothered, so I?m afraid it?s 1 star from me another moan while I?m on a roll your opening hours are ridiculous how can the working man or women (9 to 5) get into branch without taking time off work

I had been into the bank last week for a face to face appointment. There were several issue based around the disorganized staff upon entering the premises. I did mention this to my advisor who was really nice. I was then sent a feedback questionnaire and raised the points of concern.Today I received a call from the manager of the Consett branch and when I explained my issues she became confrontational about what I was trying to tell her. As my concerns were based around staff and their poor performance I can now see why they are like they are as being guided by someone who condones this behavior will only result in customers being less than happy with the service received.

Went today to put a cheque in not realising they had changed opening times to 9.30 - 2pm. I fail to see the need for tthis just because of a lockdown. No wonder people are turning to online banking!

Only been in once and the teller sneezed right into her hands before handing me my notes. I just wanted a cheque cashed, I didn't also want to withdraw a cold.
