“I was unable to renew my DL online as my details on my passport and licence were different, with my middle name missing on the DL. DVLA told me to go to the PO, obtain a D1, get photos taken, complete forms and post off etc.When I mentioned this time consuming process to the PO assistant she did a quick check and was able to complete my application on her tablet, take the photo etc and I was finished and out of the door in 7 minutes. Amanda in particular deserves a mention for her excellent customer service skills :) We were sent here by staff at Barny Post Office to collect a parcel because they couldn't find it. Amanda very patiently tracked our parcel down, finding it was actually still at the Post Office in Barny. She couldn't have been more helpful if she'd tried! What a contrast! Amanda then went on to help us with our efforts to find where our PO Box is located, something else Barnard Castle Post Office staff couldn't do! Amanda has restored my faith in the Royal Mail!”
