We went there for dinner last Saturday night August 30th
Had excellent meals, friendly service and on of the best pie dishes I have ever eaten. Extremely good value pub food

Stayed there for one night last night and it was absolutely brilliant, the beds were so comfy and the shower was great. The service was wonderful when it came to breakfast, they checked in on us asking if we wanted more toast and or coffee. Thank you for such an amazing night and breakfast!

Stayed for a night for our friend?s wedding held at Sparkford hall! Really friendly staff and room was very nice! Breakfast was included but we were too late for it unfortunately I think they stopped serving it at ?10:30 maybe.

stayed bank holiday weekend, great welcome from everyone. nice clean on-suite room. Food outstanding, we had a meal Saturday evening (hubby said best hunters chicken hes ever had) and because we'd enjoyed it so much we decided to have the BBQ Sunday evening we were not disappointed tastiest BBQ we've had. definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

I stayed here on the 24/7/24 and couldn't be more impressed with the establishment and its staff. It was really welcoming, and they couldn't have done anymore to make my stay better than it was. Evening meal was excellent I did have breakfast included in my stay but as I had a early start I didn't get to taste it so instead they made me a packed lunch to take with me which was full of fruit water cakes and a wonderful sandwich. In short, unbelievable and would recommend it to everyone.

Lovely, friendly and welcoming staff. Very helpful info from management with directions, taxi number, local events that may be taking place. Rooms clean, fresh, with simple decor. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing accommodation for a few nights.
Food served all day and it is delicious. Worth visiting even just for the food.

We stayed here not knowing what to expect as we didn't know this area. We had been warned in advance that the kitchen would be closed our first evening due to gas safe check. Not a problem as communication had been so good. Room was clean, staff very attentive and helpful (even trying to find us a mechanic after our car broke down on the A303). We had a meal the second night, (delicious) staff were so friendly and welcoming as were the locals. I would have no hesitation in recommending the mildmay arms for anyone wanting a welcoming hostelry as a base to explore this beautiful part of the UK.

Came here as the Walnut Tree was closed - SO glad we did . Such a. Friendly pub and the BEST chips I?ve had in years home made fries with the skin still on, we will be back next time I need to see my parents !
