A very much established traditional furniture store. All furniture types and manufacturers are available to try out. It's quite pricey, and from experience, some items quality can be questionable. That said, many furniture items are from high-quality, reputable manufacturers. There is always a keen member of staff shadowing your every move around the store, who will offer you advice and information that you may or may not even want. I'm guessing a commission based employer?? Shop is over several floors, but there is a lift for the less able-bodied or want to dodge stairs.

Wish there were zero stars, my advice to all of you is DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.Very bad experience.

Disgusting company to deal with. Bought 6 of their Carlton Dining chairs. We assembled and weren't 100% with the quality out of the box - some were wobbly on the flooring and there were some marks on the metal coating. Nothing too severe but just not 100% but at the time felt like something we could live with.After 2 weeks - one of the chairs collapsed. The legs are metal and have a splay on them. Essentially poor quality metal/welding etc. Photos attached showing the absolutely poor quality of these chairs.The chair damaged our new flooring when it collapsed. Luckily nobody was injured - however could have been.At that point I raised a complaint. Initially they communicated. I asked for the following to resolve: - collect the existing chairs - replace with new ones (and send a colleague to assemble and review the quality of the box) and to consider some reasonable offer of compensation in respect of the damage to the flooring (brand new and expensive LVT flooring).They then responded saying that because the issues had not been reported within 3 days of delivery they would not take any action to resolve - essentially washing their hands of consumer protection, duty of care and product liability. Obviously it would have been difficult to report the chair collapsing after 3 days - it happened after 2 weeks of normal usage!AVOID at all costs. I am going down the legal route now. Woods do not care if their products collapse and potentially injury people and damage property.

My mother recently passed away unexpectedly, she had paid £778 (half the cost) towards a Stressless chair with an 8-10 week delivery. When I contacted Woods, my options were either to continue with the order and pay the other half (but we obvs didn't now want the chair) or the lady said Woods would "take the hit" and pay for the rest (and then presumably re-sell it).Woods will have no problem selling the chair at full price to another customer (someone will be delighted to not wait the 8-10 weeks) and therefore pocketing an additional nearly £800 due to our unexpected loss.Absolutely no gesture of goodwill or kindness, no offer to contact Stressless to ask re. their policy.My mother was keen to buy through a local company and they should treat their local customers with a little more compassion.

We visited here after searching all the big chains for our perfect sofa, we had no luck no matter the price in finding it until arriving here. We were very well looked after by Jonathan who offered us a choice of drinks. He helped us go over measurements and the different options. He was very patient. Feel better shopping local too! Will be using here again! Can 100% recommend.

Please avoid. I ordered a sofa from this company. On arrival three of the legs - which were not the legs the sofa was advertised with - did not touch the ground leading to the sofa moving when sat on. Another leg was fitted crooked. The Ottoman is also not the same height as the sofa. They have refused a refund and denied the obvious manufacturing problem with the sofa legs. I have resorted to challenging the charges through my bank as the company have been so unhelpful.

I had not as good experience as you all saying. Well I did purchase our sofa bench end of November 2022. Firstly delivery was 8.30pm which on Thursday evening, leaving as no choice than build it all together as box was so heavy and too all space in our hallway. Fabric on sofa was marked with some kind of white sticker, it took me good hour to gently rub it off with cloth and water. Sofa bench doesn?t reach floor properly on one leg (middle leg) and corner bit is sticking out little bit. I have contacted customer service next day and have emailed them all pictures. Phone team was friendly and navigated me straight to customer care support. Unfortunately that wasn?t going that well. Lady was trying to offer discount, re delivery or complete re fund. I choose refund. We have agreed on £100 I have only received £80 , try to contact her back several times, but no response from her at all, leaving me no option than write review on customer care support. Their furniture looks proper sturdy, but can come with defects, I just won?t shop there anymore.

Ordered a Porto chair and really happy with it. However I'm a bit confused as I tried to buy one from Brewery Sq and was given a complicated story about how it wasn't available until beginning of February. There were 2 showing on the website so I gave up and went to High East St where Jonathan sorted it straight away. I picked it up 2 days later. Not sure why this happens but glad I pursued it otherwise the sale would have been lost. Shame as I love Woods as a company.

We ordered the Toledo 180CM-230CM ext dining table and the Thomas dining chairs on 10th July 2022. On the first delivery, the dining table was damaged/crushed at the corner and broken whilst the chairs had either a rip in them or scuff marks. After complaining, we had a redelivery organised/exchange for damaged items. On the second attempt to deliver the products, the products arrived damaged again despite the promise to have them packaged properly. The chair frames had scratches on them, the table corner was damaged again and the extending mechanism where the hinges were, were crumbling and bent and the seat cover was damaged also. We decided to give one final opportunity to deliver again, with more promises of better packaging and better padding for the products. Unfortunately on the last delivery, the items arrived damaged again, no additional packaging was used apart from for one or two chairs. The only compensation we were offered was £100 and that included the delivery charge of £60 and to keep the damaged chair as it was. Customer service was great at Woods but the issue was with the product itself. I am not sure about the other products but if the product we were promised was not packaged properly from the manufacturer then it has no chance of being delivered to us in good shape. The Panther delivery drivers are also very hit and miss. Some have been great, others have been downright rude. Unfortunately we will never order from here again. You are better off paying more elsewhere for a better quality item as if 3 opportunities for delivering furniture correctly is not enough then there is nothing left to be said.

'Positive sales team, poor aftercare'The buying process was easy, they were so very helpful when the aim was to take my money, much as you come to expect.Delivery was prompt on a Friday - and when things started to go wrong.I bought a corner bench for the kitchen to replace the old one.Unboxed, watched the video, read the instructions, summary screw bolts into pre drilled holes and it's done.But no, the fixing plates are not the right size so the benches do not attach to the corner part and as such the whole lot is no good. (this of itself is not a problem, things go wrong, is a simple return).Now the fun starts, called Saturday, call answered but no customer support available til Monday. Advised to email - which I did.Called Monday lunch having heard nothing, told abruptly that complain ts are dealt with in order and they'd get to it - apparently it was allocated to someone who couldn't talk on the phone (this part really raises alarm of how many complaints).Email received Monday afternoon, can I check I made it like the video said, if still an issue can provide collection and a refund, which would be paid 3-5 days after receipt. I requested the refund on Monday.Collection set for weds - failed, one man in a transit that was three quarters full, bench wouldn't fit. (note here, was delivered by a two man crew, which costs £60). Tried to call Woods, my personal mobile number blocked, will only dial if I hide my number and call not answered.Thursday 6pm - collected.Monday lunch - email Woods, can they confirm receipt? No, they don't expect it back until Thursday, as it will come when other returns go back as not worth transporting a single item.So, ten days post advising that they had sold me a faulty good, I am advised they may get a bench back on Thursday, which will have been with couriers for a week (knowing how careful they can be) and once they have it it will take another week to process a refund.*Update*Following this review, posted Monday afternoon, received a call from Woods first thing Tuesday morning. Advised matter escalated to management and they had authorised a refund to be processed ahead of receiving the bench.Refund received by 15.45 Tuesday.Woods asked me to amend this review, following them allowing a refund, and I have added an extra star given a resolution has come about promptly following a negative review.By way of feedback, it should not be necessary for a review to force action, and I feel for those less confident of confrontation if faced with this supplier.
