“Nice pub and garden (yes, we did sit outside in the March sunshine)! Drinks are a bit pricey but to be expected on the south coast. Didn't eat here but food looked standard pub fayre.”

“We arrived completely famished from long hikes late on a hot sunny Sunday afternoon. The staff were so very welcoming, they recognised our desperation for refreshments and rushed to take our order and deliver drinks. We had to try the crab brioche and upgraded to cheesy fries which was no trouble whatsoever! The beetroot hummus was delivered at record pace and was delicious. The cod with prawns, leek and lobster bisque was mouthwatering delicious. The lobster bisque so good we ordered a separate pot for the chips.
They couldn’t have been more helpful and the food more delicious. We’d give 10 stars if we could. Highly recommended.”

“This was our second visit to Seadown, mainly due to the location, being so close to the beach. The facilities on site were faultless with the shower block and associated facilities, spotless. However, I do question the “pecking order” with regards to pitch allocation. I requested a hard standing pitch when we booked 6 months prior to our stay. When we arrived, we were allocated a grass standing pitch ,in, possibly the most congested row of pitches on the site. Hey ho, we can’t all get the plum pitches, but, there were hard standing pitches available at the time we checked in. When I asked at reception whether I had been allotted a hard standing pitch, the rather nice and bubbly lady responded with a friendly “ I am afraid not, but the grass standing pitch if nicely mown and is firm underfoot”. I accepted this, but then another person on reception interjected with, “We are rammed out at the moment”. She gave me the impression that she was doing us a favour by letting us have a pitch at all ?‍♂️. I understand from a conversation that I had with an “old timer” that loyalty, in terms of having a friend of a friend who rents a static caravan is rewarded by the better pitches. Regardless of the location and the excellent facilities, we shall not be returning until the booking system either becomes a first come, first served basis or allocation of hard standing/ grass pitch, is confirmed at the time of booking.”

“The hotel requires further investment to upgrade facilities and renovate the lounge, bar and eating areas. However, people are always the most important asset in the service industry and on this metric, the hotel performs well. The girls connect easily with the residents and exhibit a natural, genuine, charm. I liked the unpretentious feel about the place.”

“Booked fairly last minute but location looked good and didn't disappoint. The views are stunning. Liked the online check-in procedure which meant on arrival just turn up and go look for your preferred pitch....we did come in September so lots to choose, not sure how easy that would be in the heart of the summer.
Great having the coastal path right on site and had a great walk into West Bay a couple of times and a stunning walk from the site to Golden Cap. Definitely recommend but it is hard going up and down some VERY steep hills :-)
Stayed a week but could have spent longer.
Site extremely clean and tidy everywhere. Pool nice, but water far too warm....one day felt like a bath!
Really enjoyed the week there, despite the wind and rain, but hey that's the British weather and we were up high...clues in the name of the site.
Highly recommended.”

“New Years Eve getaway 2022/23 with the family (x10). A lovely very large house with masses of room, an excellent place for entertaining and celebrating the New Year in with all the family. Very well equipped property and ample parking. The only reason I gave this property 4 stars and not 5 is that the guttering on the rear of the property was blocked and overflowing on to the plastic conservatory roof and made it unbearable to sit under, which meant we could not use the dining room at all because of the noise, even when it wasn't raining that much it still continued to leak onto the roof. Our older parents found it very noisy at night as this leak was right next to there bedroom window and was almost like someone continuously throwing stones at the glass all night so got very little sleep. Was very disappointed to find out that this issue was raised back in November by the owners and still nothing had been rectified, and even said in the book 'hope this does not effect your stay???'. This needs to now be made a priority and fixed before we stay again.”
