we got half a refund and left, sadly this was our fourth visit as it was always my favourite and comfort place to go. Very disappointed and doubt we will be back again.
The only good thing that came out of this was the view and HALF of the reverb.
When we arrived I asked if I could just leave my luggage with them in safe hands while we headed off into the car for a trip to Durdle Door? as I was paying with a debit card (which had nothing to do with leaving my suitcase there???) I had to pay there and then before being allowed to check in at 4pm??
Fast forward to check in time, everything was fine until we were put into the wrong room, I questioned this and I was firstly told it was due to high level of people booking for that particular weekend??? yet I booked three months in advance.
Anyway my partner wasn?t having that, not after we paid a fortune to have the room we wanted, when he went to complain he was told that the room we were supposed to have had got a leak??
Secondly the window wouldn?t open, we travelled 4 hours away to be able to see and HEAR the sea, but we were offered some fans instead??
Little things kept adding up on top of this and multiple fake stories were being told to each of us at different times when visiting reception - as we asked for a refund it wasn?t possible because it was 7pm??? we waiting 30 minutes in the room before heading back down at 730pm where half a refund was doable and a NEW room had suddenly become available which an hour before wasn?t even an option???
Oh and on top of this we paid £12 for parking for 24hrs which is fine, but if we were to leave that space to go out somewhere, that?s our space lost if someone else was to go in there?? How does that work? Surley the spaces should be numbered and one you?ve paid for that numbered space, it?s yous?
It?s just not how it used to be and sadly it has let us down this time! While I kept visiting reception there was around 5 other people making complaints too.

Check in was a bit hectic seemed like they had everyone waiting. And maybe not enough team to cope .Rooms very tired mould and dust around the windows. Shower curtain dated and faulty .Carpets very worn could defiantly do with a refurbishment.Booked for two nights only stayed one wanted leave. Pity stayed in many Marriott?s , not sure I would again.

Such a fantastic hotel! The outside facade looks a bit tired and could do with a bit of tlc, but once you get inside the hotel all that goes away. The inside of the hotel is truly luxurious, lovely carpets throughout, good quality fixtures and furniture, I particularly liked the essence which was being pumped around the hotel, even in the lifts! The staff were really attentive, friendly and helpful. The room was excellent, felt very luxurious and the bathroom was exceptional. We had panoramic views of the beach from our room on the fourth floor. We had food in the evening and breakfast in the morning at the Brasserie Blanc and both meals were great. I would definitely stay again.

Rooms: Spacious rooms. Great decor. We had booked a superior family room and it was comfortable. The hotel was very full. Parking is paid and inspite of paying, it's difficult to find a parking spot when the rooms are full. Very clean premises and attentive staff.Walkability: The hotel has fabulous views of the Atlantic. It's walkable from West Cliff beach and Bournemouth Pier.

Marriot mis-sold ne sea view delux cottage saying that I'll have sea views through the windows from the bed. But the sea view window was on the side of the room, and nothing visible from bed. Then the room cleanliness is extremely bad with dodgy marls on the bedsheet and pillow covers. That's a total disgrace for a 4 star hotel. Attaching pictures for proof. Also bathroom bathtub is so filthy. I called hotel reception and they did nothing about it. I am going to post this on social media as they charged me so much and did not provide the service. AVOID Bournemouth Marriot.Rooms: Zero cleanliness and dodgy marks on sheets. Filthy bathroom bathtub and mis-sold the room giving wrong information about the room.

Nice staff but I would pay more at all , very over-dated inside, breakfast just with filtered coffee , no espresso.

Great location and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The downside is the room was very, very worn out, lots of stains on the chairs, walls and carpets, no heating just a couple of little oil filled portable radiators that did not do the job.Breakfast was OK but pretty much the same quality as a carvery breakfast but 3 times the price.Rooms: Very tired, dirty and dated

The outside of the hotel makes you question why you chose this hotel but the inside has been updated and quite lovely.

The rooms were spacious and clean and the apartment was very big and had a lovely outdoor space to relax too.Rooms: Spacious rooms with comfortable beds and one room has a double bed and ensuite bathroom, the other room is a twin single with plenty of space.Walkability: Short walk to the beach feom the accommodation aswell as a short walk to the town.Noteworthy details: There is a bed settee in the living room that is a double that is quite comfortable.

My wife and I stayed at the Marriott Highcliff for two nights, arriving on Friday 2nd February and leaving on Sunday 4th. The Superior Sea View Room was superb in every respect. The Hotel location, staff, breakfast and ambiance was excellent. In fact we have already another weekend at the Marriott Highcliff on March 15th, 16th and 17th. Look forward to seeing you all again.Nearby activities: My wife and I had a lovely meal on the Friday night at the Aruba Restaurant, which is by the entrance to The Pier.
