“We visited here a couple of year’s ago and the standard is still high. Great choice of three local draught beers and the Wicked Wolf gin was particularly appreciated. We started with crayfish and wasabi cocktail. Frankly, this knocked a prawn cocktail into a cocked hat! Original and delicious. My wife had river trout served on crushed new potatoes and mini French beans. It was beautifully presented and the white wine and caper sauce raised the dish to a higher level. A sublimely delicious dish. I went for thick cut ham, fried duck’s egg and chips. It was anything but boring and bland. 10/10. A great pub, friendly welcome and good atmosphere.”
