“This a truly beautiful hotel. Our room was perfect, the bed large and comfortable. The service was excellent. However we found the food underwhelming and not up to the standard we would have expected. The menu did not really appeal. There was nothing that really made you go wow! Our food was ok but nothing special and considering the prices should have been much better.
Breakfast was good. A little disappointed as we were expecting great things.”

“Called in on the way to Sidmouth as traffic was really bad very pleasantly surprised, we were lucky to get lunch as we had not booked. Lovely clean establishment with a relaxed atmosphere and polite friendly staff. Sunday lunch was excellent, meat was tender and a great selection of fresh veg too. Excellent value. Highly recommend we will definitely be returning and making sure we book”

“Went in on a Saturday lunchtime for a quick drink with a couple of female family members . Did not expect much , typical town pub . Level of service from the landlady and quality of drinks provided exceeded expectations. Superb value , will definitely go again .”

Tv, tea/coffee facilties etc. Good wifiFree car parking......virtually unheard of with the chain hotelsBreakfast was included for me. Breakfast times a bit limited (8-9am) but the owner did allow me to get something at 730. Breakfast menu picture attached.No evening food, but local pub a 10 minute walkWould stay again!!”
