Be prepared to wait. It doesn't matter if there is no queue or several people queueing, you will be waiting to be seen by the one beleaguered person on the counter. I'm not sure what the other employees in the back room are doing, but it's certainly not helping customers. Also, be prepared to wait for your prescription. My prescriptions are issued by the health centre that Boots is attached to, and it took 9 days for them to have my latest prescription ready from when it was issued. They claim that if you run out of medication they'll try and give it to you if you drop in. But when I sent someone into the pharmacy when I had run out after waiting 7 days for my prescription to be sorted out, they were sent away and told to come back in a couple of days. They used to order repeat prescriptions for me, but have decided to not do that any more, and have refused to be drawn on the subject when I asked them why. They also have a couple of processes that I've never encountered in any other pharmacy, and I have been given a stern lecture before because I was unaware of them and foolishly tried to pick up a prescription on the day it was issued.I've now switched pharmacies as driving several miles out of my way to pick up a prescription will still save me more time than popping round the corner to this one. I highly recommend that you avoid this one and try literally any other Pharmacy in the country.

Lectured on how to queue! No clear indication on preordered items, I asked if I should queue which I did and called forward prematurely. Then the lecture!!I?m finished with pharmacies and going on line (as many others have done). If I hear on more time, ?it?s a sign of the times?. ?..wakey wakey Boots

Absolute shambles best to avoid this place unless u have got plenty of time to waste. Half an hour queue then they tell u they hav?nt had time to pick up prescriptions from right next door. What a mess they are in. They need a good shake up.

I got an email saying my prescription (ordered via the Boots app) was ready... I waited a day just to make sure and then went in. After waiting in a long queue I was told my prescription wasn't ready and to come back again tomorrow. What a waste of time!

Keep you queuing for an unacceptable time whilst staff chat amongst themselves, staff are discriminatory based on appearances and sex, make erroneous assumptions about customers and refuse service contravening PALS advice.

Stood in the queue of 4 for 40 minutes (three staff and the pharmacist on) and nothing moved. The slowes service i have ever seen in any retail or pharmacy service. When you do get your turn the order isnt even there. Shocking service.. Definitely not ordering from boots ever again.

Any service provider that has a sign up ?abusive behaviour will not be tolerated? or similar, should look into themselves. No one has ever been aggressive when confronted with good customer service !\\nI put in a prescription on the 28/1/2022 and signed up to their text service, which implies that they will let me know when my order is ready and if there are any problems. I did try to phone many times but the phone rings and rings then goes to fax. On the 8/2/22 I went into the pharmacy, hoping that the prescription would be ready and it was not.. I asked why they hadn?t text me, to let me know there was an issue .. apparently they don?t text! I politely asked for my prescriptions back and then was told ?if you don?t like the service please go elsewhere? which made me smile as I obviously wasn?t happy and I had already asked for the prescriptions back! Bless her for grasping the moment! ? I went to tescos, within 3 mins I was told that the prescription could not be met as there is no stock in the U.K. and the pharmacist suggested I go back to the drs and get an alternative! Please do not use Boots, they are terrible when things don?t go as planned.. to add insult to injury boots have avoided a £billion of tax according to Google.. and as a beneficiary of the nhs or your taxes .. it?s a little rude !

My prescription was collected by my wife for me. When I received it it was an item short, I tried to phone Boots 8 times over the corse of an hour and a half and nobody answered the phone, it just switched to fax every time. This is disgraceful and very poor customer service.

No communication with the GP surgery which is right next door. You go in to collect a prescription and you end up going backwards and forwards between the surgery and pharmacy trying to find where your script is.There is also stock problems which if they were rare you could understand, but it has happened so many times and they expect you to be okay without your needed medication.

They Frequently loose prescriptions and claim to never have received them from doctors surgery next door. Also once a prescription is recieved the staff forget to order the whole prescription so that a person with a life limiting condition does not have all the medication they require.
