“I don't know how we existed before Home Bargains appeared! They have 'Roberts' bread here, good quality and reasonably priced. Nikki loo rolls are good value too. Well worth a visit to check out the prices”

“Staff is absolutely marvellous. But avoid a single conversation with a security. This can cause a trouble. Not shopping there any more only because of the security thinking that they got police officer powers. Rather go local shops where ppl welcome youPost made for reasonIm having tattoos and security gave me stupid looks all the way andtime of shopping so ive loudly asked what is a problem lol none of the employees could answer. Avoid this shop cos u can face angry wannabe policeman”

“My favourite Sainsbury's and the best supermarket I've been to in Devon. It's the perfect size and has plenty of parking and fuel. Best of all their organic veg was top quality, very fresh and plenty of it when I visited on Tues 31/10. An added bonus is that it's handy for Lidl and Aldi too.”

“Ideal place for a few varied items from local traders from plants, clothes, pictures, books and jigsaws, plus items from local farms (eggs & meat) and trades (antiques & trinkets). Great lively atmosphere to wonder around!”

“Sells mainly frozen food but also a selection of none frozen. Clean store with competative prices. Some items sold are not stoked by the big supermarkets so a walk round to see what they have is worth while. Before 10am and after 4pm you can park on the high street but they do have a small car park at the rear.”

“Took a school trip here when I was six. I have fond memories of a jam doughnut. I also shop here sometimes. Less fond memories of that but I suppose you can only be six and marvelling at the wonders of a Tesco bakery once in your lifetime, right?”

“I live in Barnstaple and the staff in our local Coop [St Georges Rd] are always friendly and helpful. A true community store! But I was angry to learn that, with all the major supermarkets closed on Easter Sunday, they were incredibly busy and I understand they do not get any extra monies for working that day. If that is true, shame on you Coop! A community business that boasts how it cares about people! Please can you respond to explain [a] if this is true and [b] if yes, WHY? Thank you CM Raleigh Meadow.”

“Clean and reasonably spacious. Staff friendly and helpful. A good selection of fruit and vegetables with many other products. The "home" section has a wide variety of useful items, cheaper prices than elsewhere.”

“I would describe it as a mini tesco supermarket as in food wise and all section for drinks and cigs, is quite handy in the middle of town to tie you over til you do what you would call a 'proper shop' at the main Tescos at one of the retail parks.”
