An amazing village pub full of character and history. The landlord is super friendly and happy to tell all about the pub and the village. The pub has a connection to the phrase "worth its weight in gold" due to the racehorse it's named after. One of only 3 pubs with that name in the UK and very much a key part of the village....

Had lunch here last week, lovely little pub which is dog friendly, serves good beer and has a fairly unusual menu. The fish finger sandwiches were lovely.Only rom for 3 or 4 cars in park and road parking is tight.Vegetarian options: Numerous

What a cracking pub - super food and great beer - wonderful to have such a good veggie choice without the standard 'token veggie options' - super dog friendly - top notch.
