“Awesome breakfast. Well cooked and presented. It arrived in minutes too, I was well impressed by that; though it was a quite Sunday morning. The waitress even allowed to pour a cup of tea from the pot and then she refilled it for me. Prices are reasonable considering the great service and food provided. Will visit again. Highly recommend.”
“Excellent carvery. Food absolutely delicious. Staff great. Lovely place. Car parking can be tight but find somewhere to park and get there, you won't be disappointed.”
“I have scores this a 5 star because its always clean, well presented, friendly staff and decent prices, however it's not always somewhere I think about. When I do go in its just to browse around (for noting inparticular) because it's seems to have bits of everything but not always what I'm after. I understand its not a massive unit so they can't fit everything in. In the past I have bought a few items from there which have been good, recently some walking trainers for £30 which I thought was a bargin. If I had some advice for them it would be to zone in on a few areas and get a wider range of those areas. Other than that good visits when I have been.”
“My brother and I were walking parts of the Peak district, so decided to stay at the Premier in Matlock for five nights. The accommodation and meals were excellent and the staff were outstanding, Breakfast staff were so helpful, and the two young ladies in the evening, namely Tara and Leah were over and above in their helpfulness, they worked well together and took real good care of the customers, I wish them well for the future, thankyou.”
“Had a great burger and noticed the pizza oven — looks promising, so hopefully some pizzas are on the way soon! Really looking forward to coming back and giving them a try. The team were friendly and welcoming — shoutout to Glynn, who was especially attentive and made us feel right at home”
“Historical pub with great cuisine . Ordered the Whipped Brie, (great combination of flavours), Fried Squid with aioli, (crunchy and yet juicy and very flavoursome)and the Ox Cheek (cooked perfectly and rich in flavour too). The Eton Mess felt a bit underwhelming compared to the other dishes and I believe it could have used more cream / sauce.
Personally, I believe some of the dishes’ portions are small for the price, specially the appetisers. The service was great overall but a bit slow at times.”
