“Very last minute decision to stay after a day of walking we found this place as the only one with a room locally. It was truly excellent and everything we needed for a very good price, comfortable clean and spacious room, friendly staff and a tasty breakfast. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Also really accommodating of the dog!”

“It's a lovely establishment near to Ladybower reservoir......clues in the name. It was extremely quiet but it was a wet Tue afternoon in September. I was underwhelmed by the food. Although nothing wrong with it per se, the volumes seemed somewhat minuscule and looked rather uninspiring. The use of the plural on mushy peas was pushing it. If there were 4 teaspoons I'd have been surprised, the fish seemed overly cooked and greasy and had zero body to it. At £18 it was taking the proverbial. The sandwich was decent enough and seemed to have a better pricing model. I'd not run back for a meal anyday soon. The staff were very polite and the interior is lovely. Probably okay place to grab a beer and be on your way. Food, plenty of other, better value eateries surrounding the waters.”
