Again the Devonshire at Pilsley did not disappoint! We visited on this occasion for an 80th birthday meal and we were treated exceptionally well. The staff definitely made it very special and, even though there was a mix up with the table request, we couldn't have asked for anything more. The food, as always was impeccable especially the desserts! We would definitely recommend the Devonshire at Pilsley whatever your celebration or occasion.

Overpriced rooms, standards of cleanliness is something to be desired.
Breakfast was nice and so was the evening meal.
Location suitable for our needs but certainly won?t go back.

Popped in for a drink on the way back from Chatsworth House. Lovely old pub with good good and rooms. May have to make a return visit to stay over!

Rooms: The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large.
Nearby activities: The Farm Shop is within walking distance. That's about it.
Safety: I'm pretty sure I could have left my wallet and keys in the car with the widows rolled down without any theft.
Walkability: There's not much to walk to besides the Farm Shop. Paisley can be walked in about 10 minutes.
Food and drinks: The Farm Shop, café at the Farm Shop and the restaurant at the inn provides plenty of options within a small area. Bakewell is a short drive with several more options.

The best place in Pilsley. This is a very good place for the whole family to relax, even if you come with a dog. I live near here? Very quiet place, fresh air and always fresh products.

Lovely location, excellent room, food and pub. We will definitely return and use it as our base on our next Peak District visit.
Rooms: Lovely farm house room, with 4 poster bed.
Nearby activities: Peak district has so many places to visit and each with it's own charms and fabulous views.
Walkability: Lovely local walks through the village.
Food and drinks: Great food and a good range of ales and wines.

Close to Chatsworth House.
We pre-booked and were able to sit in the dog-friendly bar area to eat.
Great choices for everyone (aged 5 to 62) and prices were good for the area.
