“I visited Bensons for Beds, Workington, Cumbria 10/03/2025. I had seen a bed online but wanted some in person advice. I was greeted by Andi, who was very jolly, polite and non pushy. He put me at ease straight away. He left me to look around at showroom stock but I couldn't see what I wanted. I approached Andi and showed him a photo. He got everything up on the computer and after me asking questions, he proceeded to advise on everything I wanted, showing mattresses etc. On my request, he left me to have a think about things. I felt that I had been given all the advice/information I needed so decided to place my order. Andi, helped me with delivery options to suit my needs. Now I can't wait for delivery. Andi, you're an asset to the store. Thanks so much for your help ?”

“Purchased some vinyl flooring from here this past week. Ordered on Wednesday, fitted on Friday. All for a good price. Friendly, helpful staff throughout. Very pleased. Will use again in the future.”

“A great range of homeward goods. We have shopped here for curtains previously. This time we wanted a rug. We had looked on line but find the colours on the screen different from reality. A great sample in store so that we could look for the colour and pattern we wanted. Ordered the size we wanted and it was delivered within a couple of days. Great rug to walk on.”

“Had my dads funeral tea in the function room, we choose the traditional sweet tea, the food was beautiful, presented lovely, all fresh & plenty of it,served with unlimited tea/coffee, the staff were very friendly & attentive and couldnt be any more helpful.Id definitly come back here and reccommend highly. “Food is on par with the countryman and the ship but there's an offer of 2 meals for £20 making it at least 40% cheaper than the majority of food spots locally
Service is a little slow but so is everywhere else these days but staff are polite and helpful
Legitimately dog friendly as in your dog is welcome inside the pub not just outside or selected seating
Nice music and a relaxing friendly atmosphere, this is a great little pub and should be packed”
