There's a lovely walk along from Ravenglass, we walked to the Roman Baths, which are beautiful and up the the trail to Muncaster Castle. We walked it in about 2 hours, with lots of stopping and then enjoyed a delicious meal at The Ravenglass Inn. We walked from Muncaster Castle to the Roman Bathhouse, which is a pleasant walk in itself (and you can park for free). I feel a bit mean giving this poor place only three stars, but this is a reflection of its current state - there are sections that are propped up by supports and metal railings cover other parts. Well, how to rate a 2000 year old building.As previous posts have said, go here if you’re passing but hardly worth traveling far for.The temporary security fence is pretty awful and really stops you getting a good photo.But in saying all that, it’s amazing that these structures remain and should be protected, and excavated.Let’s... read full comment
