“The best pub/hotel we've ever stayed in. Attention to detail was above and beyond regarding quality, furnishings, fixtures and fittings, and even having a Welly rack to loan wellies for puddle jumping whilst exploring the area in inclement weather.Jenny was very welcoming, and the young gentleman checking us in (sorry, forgot your name) was efficient and polite.The bed and pillows were soft and comfortable, and I defy anyone not to have a great night's sleep.We stayed in room one, a small double, which was perfect for us, and the bathroom was spacious and actually had a bath.Breakfast was hot and tasty, and we were served promptly even though it was busy.To sum up, if you go there and even if you're not staying there you will enjoy luxury service in quality surroundings, go on have a drink in the pub its so comfortable and warm.Perfect.Rooms: The small rooms are compact but still roomy, and lovely decorNearby activities: Right in the centre of town backing on to the churchyard.Safety: Completely safeFood & drinks: Lovely relaxing bar and breakfast was great, can't comment on evening meals as they didn't serve on Tuesday and Wednesday.Noteworthy details: Perfect in every way”

“Fantastic restaurant, great service, friendly and helpful staff.We shared a delicious salami and prosciutto platter, then had a fabulous lemon sole. It looked and tasted so great, I completely forgot to take a picture until it had all gone.Loved it. Can't wait to go back.Food & drinks: Great food, brilliant menu.”
