“A warm welcome from the Landlord followed by an excellent dinner and a great choice of beers made this a great place for an overnight stay. Breakfast the following morning was a real treat too!”

“We stayed overnight on the camp site and ate in the pub. The food is amazing and they were the best deserts we'd had in our lives - but then the chef is an award winning patisserie!! Camp site with amazing views of both Ingleborough and Whernside with easy access to a mix of walks in both directions - including to Ribblehead Viaduct. Clean. Friendly. Would stay again.”

“We had a lovely stay here, the cottage we had was a very good size with everything you could need, the only reason for the 4 stars is some of the furniture was a little tied I.e. you couldn't sit on the sofa for more than 30 minutes as it the cushions had deteriorated, really though i rate it 4.5 but can't, so I had to give it 4. The food in the pub is lovely, service was good until it got busy then it slowed but its worth a visit. The hotel is about 30 minutes from Lake Windermere and the tourist train station, so all in a good stay. Update some fo the furniture and its an easy 5 stars.”

“We stayed for a wedding and couldn't speak highly enough of it. The room was so, so comfortable and well supplied, we had a couple of meals downstairs and special mention for the Sunday dinner is needed - it's by far the best roast dinner I've ever had out.Highly recommended for meals and accommodation, it's so well suited for any trips into the lakes or across into Yorkshire.Rooms: Lovely comfy mattresses, great shower.Food & drinks: Incredible food, great prices. Go for their roasts”
