I phoned in advance having researched hiking boots to ask if they had any in stock - they not only put them aside but said they would honour the online price.I went and tried the boots on, one chap picked up on the fact that I wasn't quite convinced and a bit unsure. He asked a few questions and suggested I try another boot and gave me the reasons and technical information - I immediately felt the difference in the fit.What he didn't try and do was upsell, the boots were actually slightly cheaper than the ones I researched, same brand, Scarpa, but also probably better for me as they would see me through more seasons.Huge thank you, walking boots are an investment so one you want to get right, can't wait to get out on the fells!

I went in for some socks??? fully kitted out for global trekking an hour later (willingly) the service was superb and friendly. Zac and his team (Laura?) mainly Laura, was a stealth shopping assistant!! Went back in today for some gloves and to tell them the gear has worked brilliantly in the Lakes!

15.48 on a sunday, wanted to buy a hydration pack as mine had broke! Asked the gent, he was showing me where they are and the other staff member couldn?t put another sale through. I think it?s very rude towards customers and I was very willing to buy it there and then, having already been in 3 other shops and they didn?t sell them.I will be taking my money elsewhere. Very shocking customer service, Working in that area myself, I understand the shop is open till 4 meaning the till would be as well. Disappointed.

Called in to look for a parka coat without fur on collar. Very helpful lady but to be fair not a terrible lot of choice in style or colours.

As a family we have visited this shop several times in the last month to buy walking boots & clothing. Each time we have visited the staff are helpful & knowledgeable especially regarding boots & footwear. Lovely spacious shop with a good variety at reasonable prices.

I was there at the beginning of September and was greeted by very friendly staff members. The whole team was super helpful and patient (I had lots of questions)! Great place to shop! Great Team!
