Not dog friendly which seems like an interesting business choice to make in a place like the Lake District, especially when the gallery that the cafe is attached to, and leads on from via stairs, is in fact dog friendly.Service was slow and not particularly gracious - not rude, just not that pleasant. However, the woman who made our coffee made a very good one, so the stars are mainly for her.

Lovely afternoon coffee and cake break after shopping in keswick for a few hours. The shop itself is lovely, it has very nice gifts.

Visited in summer during a stay in the Lake District. Excellent service, great food and wonderful coffee. Loved the artwork in the gallery and the cheesecake was incredible - good portion too!

Absolutely gorgeous cafe. Ive never enjoyed my lunch so much. Everything is so lovely, fresh and full of flavour. Prices are reasonable too for such good food and service. Just wonderful.

Visited previously for coffee and cake and although the food and drink was fine the service was bit lacklustre. We decided to visit again but this time the experience was dire! After sitting at table for around ten minutes I asked a waitress, who was previously avoiding eye contact, if we could order coffee. She explained that her colleague would take our order soon. After another long wait my wife made the same request to another two waitresses who were within earshot. They both totally ignored my wife.We were extremely irritated so we left the cafe without ordering. It would have been nice to have been acknowledged by one of the waitresses with ?sorry for the wait, be with you in a moment? it?s a great way to let a customer know they have been noticed. Looking at the floor when passing or turning a deaf ear is extremely rude!

Had Cumbrian rarebit, very tasty. Second lady that served our food did with a lovely smile.

After an ugly experience at the Wild Strawberry, we came here. We entered through the gallery (we didn't realize at first it's also a gallery) and the kind receptionist took us all the way to the stairs that lead to the cafe. Then once there, all the waitresses were really kind and warm. We had some amazing tea and scones with clotted cream - superb! I really, really recommend them! It was amazing. This place rocks and I highly recommend it to everyone!

A lovely cafe. Only had coffee and cake but we were seriously tempted to go for food when we saw what was being served. Young and enthusiastic staff. Lovely experience.

Popped in for lunch. Really busy but we got a table. People are coming and going all the time so there might be a bit of a wait but it's worth it. Interesting lunch menu all fresh and delicious, swift service and reasonable price.

We went here for coffee as many of our old favorites in Keswick had closed in recent years following COVID. We were pleasantly surprised and returned for a second visit. The coffee was very good with a good range of cakes and bakes. The table service was very friendly and efficient. Will come again.

Service was brilliant after only a few minutes and the soup of the day magnificent. Couldn't be any better - marvellous sparkling water too.

Only popped in for a coffee - very busy atmosphere so a bit of wait which was fine. All the food looked lovely and we were happy with our drinks. Unfortunately, the staff seemed to be quite stressed and under pressure (NOT the staff's fault at all, they were all polite & did their best, just something we picked up on,)
