I stayed at The Queens Head in Hawkshead this weekend with a friend and loved every moment. We booked a dog friendly room as it was the only one available at the time of booking, it was so spotless you would never know a dog had been in there, I would happily choose it again. The toiletries were lovely too with good quality shampoo and conditioner provided. Hawkshead is a charming, picture perfect village and the inn makes the most of its beautiful setting. Breakfasts were delicious and the evening meals and Sunday roast were just as impressive. Warm, welcoming and faultless in service, The Queens Head is the perfect place to relax, eat well and enjoy the Lake District.

Impressed with standard of the rooms and level of service. Breakfast was very very tasty. Delightful setting in Hawkshead. Although you cannot park in the centre of the village, parking is not an issue as there were plenty of spaces nearby on the public car park a couple of minutes walk away.

Damn the food at this place is unbelievable.
Had the steak pie and sticky toffee pudding. You can?t not come here if you?re in the Lake District.

Superb restaurant. Very friendly and accommodating staff and excellent food. I wish I could cook my sea bass like that.

It was clean, accommodating and friendly. Great base for exploring. Hawkshead was not too busy and that?s what we wanted.

Lovely little inn, friendly staff, very comfortable and clean room! Got a great night sleep. Breakfast was wonderful.
The location is perfect, with some beautiful scenic walks nearby.

The Queen's Head is a very welcoming Lake District pub with rooms. My room was very spacious and comfortable. The bar has a nice selection of Robinson's Ales, which were well kept. The seating area, whilst mainly setup for food was a nice environment. It was a quiet time on the Tuesday night that I stayed there, but all the tables were reserved. Best to book in advance. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place.
