We visited the queens head on Wednesday dinner time and asked for a table for 5 we were told non were available, I went into the back of the pub to find it empty so found this strange as no table had reserved on it we were told a table would come available if we waited so we did I started to order the drinks and the last...

Welcome! We're glad to have you with us. Since the early 17th century we’ve been welcoming weary travellers and visitors to the village of Hawkshead. Whether you want to drink, dine or unwind, you will find The Queen’s Head the perfect base to explore the beautiful South Lakes of Cumbria and beyond.
Our restaurant, awarded an AA rosette, has a menu to suit all tastes but, at its core, still serves humble pub food served with flair and only created using the freshest seasonal produce with help from local suppliers.
We love the patter of paws and so we’re an extremely dog friendly pub.
We have thirteen comfortable guest rooms all with private bathrooms and all individually styled and furnished. Free Wi-Fi is available for all our guests
