“This is a very large store, and this store has an Argos in store. Though Sainsbury's has a sizeable, but limited range of household stock, Sainsbury's makes up for it by having an Argos.
There is an extremely large and extensive range of food products available, more then the discount stores. Prices are a bit higher, but variety is the spice of life, as there is more choice.
This store has plenty of car parking, and disabled spaces, and toilets are also available inside.
The entrance to the store is wheelchair accessible.”

“A lovely, well laid out store, well stocked, very good selection of products, and everything was easy to find. The fresh baked goods are of exceptional quality, especially the rolls, croissants, and brownies. My favourites include their own brand bread, sweet potato fries, Colombian coffee, Earl Grey tea, and Jasmine Green Tea. The rear middle aisles are full of weekly bargains, of which my favourites are always the thermals!!!The staff are polite and helpful. If you're not a fast packer, there's a bench area along the back of the store tills where you can take your time doing this.Pricing is always good, and if you join Lidl Plus, there's an app too. You can get coupons for additional savings. Free car parking is available on site, too.”

“So it began on the 13th of November (2023) at 11pm, and has carried into the 14th early morning and me and my friend had to pull in because my car broke down. We initially stopped to give the car a rest as at this point we just finished work and didn’t think it was broke. We went in for a hot chocolate, and my friend got a coffee and a green tea. Two hours and a half later, my friend had gone with another friend home, as I was waiting to be recovered, and I needed to use the toilet, and as I went in, I bumped into the woman working at costa who was really friendly. I told her my situation to which she offered me a coffee. She said due to my situation, and how late it was, it wasn’t needed to be paid for, despite me offering. I wanted to state how lovely this was as I had just finished a 12-10 customer facing shift myself and to receive kindness like the kindness I offer was well appreciated! Would recommend her. She is lovely. I hadn’t caught her name but she needs to be recognised! So thank you!”

“A handy wee place for the basics, and the odd luxury. We used this shop during a two night stopover at the nearby Cherry Trees farm campsite, and it's within 20 mins drive of many local campsites.
There are enough frozen goods and bags of ice, that there may be no need to bring lots if staying locally.
Staff were friendly, and able to direct me to everything I'd forgotten.
Parking across from the shop is big enough for campervans, and there's parking to the rear that I didn't see.”

“I use this store regularly when travelling north or south on the M6. I'd much rather pay their prices than the motorway service stations. The store itself is great and again, non typical motorway prices!

Well worth the 5 min detour off the M6.”

Many pharmacists are so busy they don’t seem to have time to care about the people behind the problems but you did.Thank you again, you made a difference to someone today x”

“Stopped for petrol, pleasant staff. Rejoining A595 to Carlisle from garage forecourt and car broke down (clutch issue) on the acceleration lane outside garage. Car undriveable, made it safe. Popped back into service station and very helpful staff came up with a garage in Carlisle (Port Road Garage) where Green Flag could take car to. Thank you!!!”

“Always well stocked and is a godsend as only shop in local area especially if you are walking. Usually some good offers and I especially enjoy the scones - especially the cherry ones sold in packets...they are great quality. The staff are friendly and I have never known it closed really in all the years I have been shopping there...they even do some fundraising with the second hand books..as you can see there is a wide variety of ? alcohol.. they also sell magazines and papers.. cash point outside..”
